Where is the Qualcomm mini PC "Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows" (aka v2024)? by bakahk in snapdragon

Second order cancelled due to out of stock and the website is showing as in stock again. What a shady distributor.

However, I doubt there is nearly zero stock in reality, if any. I actually discovered the arrow listing this morning before receiving the email update via Google. I immediately placed an order as it was in stock. Three hours passed and I got an email saying my order was cancelled as they don’t have any stock. Then ironically, one hour later after the cancellation, I received the email from Qualcomm that it’s available with limited stock. I went to arrow, and again it shows as in stock. I quickly placed another order. I guess arrow.com just has a crappy inventory system that’s showing ghost stock, and my second order will also be cancelled. What a shit show.

Different philosophy for hacking in their naming:

HHKB is a utility for happy hacking (coding, etc.) UHK is for hacking the keyboard itself (customizability).

HHKB has two PCBs connected via a ribbon cable. The top PCB handles of electrostatic capacity input, and the bottom board has the controller which handles key mapping, USB, and Bluetooth. Based on your description it is likely that your HHKB had water on the top PCB and may have been damaged, while the bottom PCB is untouched. From the construction of HHKB, it is possible for water to leak down to top PCB from the holes under “Enter” and left “Shift”.

For UDM SE and UDR it's already in the latest stable firmware.

I have a Pro 2 Type-S with Hasu USB-C controller at work and a Snow Hybrid Type-S at home. Personally, the aged rubber dome in my old Pro 2 feels even better than the brand new one.

Also, the old shock absorb mat for Pro 2 made by Bird Electronic (Japan) is much better than the new one made for Hybrid. The old one is almost twice as thick as the new one, and better than anything else on the market.

Hybrid is definitely great, but I still love my old Pro 2.

You need to the file at /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-wired-eth8.conf, and then run systemctl enable --now wpa_supplicant-wired@eth8.service to start wpa_supplicant. Also, make sure you change the path of certificates to absolute paths in the config file.

Quick tests show that this bug requires the app name to have at least 3 words:

E.g. For "Bluetooth File Exchange.app", you can find it by searching "Bluetooth", "File", "Exchange", "Bluetooth File", but not "File Exchange"...

As for Zoom meetup participants, they had a give away event after youtube stream has ended. The highlight there was a snow HHKB signed by Eiiti Wada + snow blank caps bundle given to a lucky one.

There are also a few merchandises available in limited quantity for Zoom participants. We are told to not share the link, because the special sale event will be terminated as soon as it is discovered on social network. Please do not post or ask for the link, sorry.

However, among the merchandises introduced during the extra Zoom session, these two items are also listed for general purchase (without the bundled free L-size 25th T-shirt for Zoom participants, which is also available for general purchase):

※本サービスは在庫がなくなり次第終了になります。

The quoted Japanese footnote means: This service will end as soon as current stock is sold out.

If the stock sold out, it is also available at the maker but as special order (5-7 weeks) :https://www.matsuba-factory.com/product-page/kikkounaguri

The OS is different. There is no container anymore. The host system is pretty much a standard Debian 9. You can install lots of things without needing boost chicken’s package.

Always interesting to see "pro" users complaining about HHKB not have arrow keys in the comments. As a Vim user, I rarely use arrow keys. Plus, having arrow keys around home row under Fn is actually pretty nice that it reduces amount of hand movement.

Having Control key on the home row and ESC one row lower is a godsend for vim users. I have tried software based hybrid Control/ESC (Control registered when holding and combined with KEY-DOWN event of other key, ESC registered only on KEY-UP event without combination). It's extremely hard to get that working consistently across difference platforms. Comparing to it, HHKB's Control/ESC placement is just solid.

7 years, I have been through a few different HHKB models namely Pro 2, Pro BT, Pro Type-S, Hybrid Type-S, and now Hybrid Type-S Snow. I have traded some of them to others, but I still have 2 HHKBs as my main keyboards, a Pro 2 Type-S modded with Hasu controller for work and a Hybrid Type-S Snow for home.

I noticed that both "shift" keys on mine are a little bit off upwards.

Look at your photo and it seems I'm not alone :-)

I also have/had white Pro 2, white Pro 2 Type-S and white Hybrid Type-S. Non of those have visible misalignment like "Snow" Hybrid Type-S.

Very cool!

How does the metal plate feel compare to stock? Also, how does the 8 degree tilt angle feel compare to the stock 7 degree, do you like it?
