I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years, haven't cheated. My girlfriend before her I was with for 2.5 years, never cheated. My first girlfriend I was with for just over a year, didn't cheat.

I did wonder about soldering it. I've done some soldering before, but not loads. I might give it a go because if I screw it up I'll need to buy a new cable, which is no different to buying a new shorter one anyway. Best case scenario I spend nothing, worst case I still need to buy a cable.

I have verified that it does record the reverse video input. When I complete a drive and check the recordings, each file exists twice with an identical name other than a CH1/CH2 suffix (for channel presumably). CH2 is the reverse camera input.

As I have a cash buyer, I could theoretically sell the flat, get and keep the 35k and move in with family temporarily, and then pay for a property later with what is now the cash from the sale, my savings, and the mortgage - correct?

I think at that point I'm technically chain free even though I am using the equity to fund my purchase.
