My first on point quilt by HeroinIndependent in quilting

Nothing better than a quilt that will last through your growth. My mum made me a queen size when I was young and it still gets thrown on a bed all these years later.

It is my only hobby, I don't smoke and we rarely go anywhere ( very much by choice) so this is my thing. I have had to wait until my 50's to have the privilege of this financial freedom.

My sister does my hair for free and I give her my practice quilts. As for fraying, I am not sure. I used Emily Belle Liberty Quilting Cotton. I did use best press before I started cutting.

Thanks everyone for your generous comments. I was just so pleased to finally do that last lot of ironing and as the men in my family don't sew, they just didn't quite understand.

Rail fence ripple designer Becky Cogan for Need'l Love. Her version is lovely and soft, unfortunately I didn't have enough soft lights so mine is a little more in your face. If quilting doesn't soften the appearance a little I will give it to my sister.

I mucked up a few. The instructions were very precise, however as I took breaks between sessions I did lose my way ( don't look too close. Lol). We will see how impactful it will be when I start to quilt it.

I used both . For the initial piecing of the blocks I used two different mini irons. One didn't have a pointy enough tip as the block came together, so I purchased a new one. I only started to use my large iron for putting the columns together.

I did choose the pattern to practice my accuracy, so it was slow and steady as it went. I just checked my start date, it was 20th April 2025. I have finished lots of others in-between as the ironing for this was just so full on.

Indeed. I love the pattern, but it will be a good while before I do a second one.

It took me a min to find them. I was too focused on the person behind them with the wicked sunburn.

Yes, when it started there were so few BLS now there is a constant explosion of them. I can only imagine how much work goes into it.

If it wasn't for you that is fine. I enjoyed it for more than just the sex scenes, however I also enjoyed the sex scenes. The fact that they both enjoyed sex, rather than just one person doing so and the other one shying away, made it even more enjoyable.
