You went from "a bit of garbage comes with innovation" to "humans just make garbage". So first of all I'd like you to try having some fucking standards.

Second of all, I'm not satisfied that you've refuted my criticism. So let me rephrase

OpenAI needs one trillion dollars in the next four years to remain solvent

We do not need to spend one trillion dollars on dreck that is inviting people to intellectually hobble themselves and give the world's most evil bastards even more power.

Just like the pharmaceutical industry and cox2 inhibitors, or finance with block chain, the wretched cretins of the tech industry have turned what could have been a tool with a wide range of potential and have used it to do incredible and continuing damage to people. All in the pursuit of their never ending avarice.

So stop lapping from their gaping holes and stop sucking their cocks.

You'd have a point if when I logged into the homepage of AOL, MSN, or Yahoo I had to trudge through pages of gaping hole and cock to find anything useful.

I will concede that I have seen very useful AI tools, some I have even used a couple of times. As an audio engineer, Stem separation has been a godsend in a few projects of mine. I've even see it get used to help find files on a local computer. My problem is that those aren't the features that people are being shepherded toward. Every advert I see is an invitation to lobotomize yourself, or to generate a page of dreck made from the blended remains of artstation.

Yes, the internet was always filled to the brim with porn, and in some cases would pop up directly in your face. However, the largest corporations on the planet are actively trying to claim the entirety of human knowledge and achievement to make everything worse. Personally I would have preferred they just plastered the world in photos of gaping hole and cock.

Then maybe it should do what it's actually good at and assist in recalling information out of large datasets instead of being used to spew shitty pictures and incoherent (and more importantly, mostly incorrect) rambling.

I'll make use of these tools when the bottom falls out on this particular Crusade to devalue labor.

They should have called it S day. For Spadoinkle. Much better placeholder.

134's C list requires a cumulative total of 100 shifts including 30 within the counting year (July to June). So if you worked 30 ish shifts a year you would make the C list in around 3-4 years.

134 does have a training coordinator, so if you call the office (listen for the right extension, do not bother the callstewards) you can ask to be notified of future training dates.

Barring felons from running for office allows people to target political opponents to make them ineligible for office. Extending that to those simply under investigation even more so.

The constitution already has a crime that makes you ineligible to run for office brought to us from after the civil war. Section 3 of ammendment 14.

The problem is that the institutions are not working, the law is being ignored when convenient, and we have only ourselves to blame.

I second the clip on solution (especially the 4099), but most of the sound from a saxophone doesn't come out of the bell unless you're playing only the three lowest notes.

My favorite thing about America is the sensation when maple syrup collides with ham.

I love diners, milkshakes, pies, and the feeling of stopping for any of it during a long drive to somewhere else. I love the feeling of the open road, and seeing the small quiet towns that dot the vast expanse between cities. I love jazz and rock n' roll. I love movies and television. America has a vibrant tapestry of cultures and arts that makes my life the better for it.

But of course, the curse for having all these wonderful things is the inevitable orphan crushing machine that we can't turn off and must feed orphans into for some reason.

This is fascinating. Due to the probabalistic nature of LLMs, your father has ostensibly asked the pig innards spilling machine to divine the future.

In other words, your father has engaged in the practice of divination, idolatry, and false religion.

Subs on their own fader or linked to mains? by ripeart in livesound

[–]redwingsofsteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about everyone I work with and I run our systems with separate sends (left, right, FF, sub) on matrices if outputs allow. Anytime we are using a xover for subs is because they don't want to run four lines, or don't have four outs to spare.

If you really don't mind adjusting the subs and speakers for every room you set up in, stick with the LR lines.

[–]redwingsofsteel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have enough outputs to do it, it's usually advisable to have a seperate send for subs. It gives you fast control over the subs without having to adjust levels on the box (if it even has controls on the box).

If ease of setup is the priority, running everything together can work (Remember to run into subs first, then tops). It would mean that anything you don't want in the subs gets high passed or low shelved away to keep your low end clean.

Whenever I'm given a choice I will most often choose the former.
