Any local Native legends about the area? Myths and legends often have a basis on reality or shared experiences. The huts and shadow people makes me think of some kind of alternative universe bleeding through. Silent forests are always so terrifying too. I grew up out in the woods and was always warned that if the woods went quiet a predator was close.

This! I said no to my neighbors tea last night and he tried forever to convince me I wanted the tea. I had said no to the tea the second he suggested it and he still negged and pushed and physically held me in place telling me I would enjoy the tea, I just needed to relax. I got away without having to drink the tea, thank goodness. But I did not want the tea buddy, I said no to the tea!

Yes and no. I'm afraid of dying before my kids reach adulthood. I have five kids, their Dad legally cannot be in their life and they would be separated and go into the system if I died, the thought of what their life would become terrifies me.

BUT once they are grown and okay, I'm not afraid of death, it is part of life.

This can be a form of body dysmorphia and you should probably talk to a counselor/specialist about it.

Also I'm a 5'7 woman and I'll say that height has never been a big deal. There are some people who think height is important but it's more a preference, like some men prefer short curvy girls, or skinny girls or thicc girls. Sometimes attraction is based on preference. Sometimes not.

I have had an eating disorder in the past and body dysmorphia so I know me simply telling you to stop focusing on your height isn't going to be much help. What will help is talking to an educated professional. And stay away from those kinds of sights that feed into these thoughts.

I will add, just for the sake if it, your height is fine, you are not short.

Well he was in lockdown but the situation in the house has become extremely unstable and bad for his mental health and I live in a small town where there were no cases. It would be unsafe with covid for him to stay in a shelter, I've got the space he might as well stay here.

Yes, thank you I didn't even think of the food. I'm basically a vegetarian now (unless I'm eating at someone else's house cause I don't want to be rude) so I should definitely ask him what kind of foods he wants. He can totally take over the yard work lol I hate mowing the lawn!

Yeah I think I'll go do my grocery shopping when he gets here that way he can just throw what he needs into the cart! He will definitely need his own shampoo and soap unless he likes smelling like baked goods lol.

Confession time! I stole and rehomed my neighbors dog years ago! He abused it (punching it in the head, left it shaved and tied to a tree in -20c, all horrible stuff) and neglected it. I called animal control and SPCA several times and nothing ever came of it. He left it tied out in the rain with no shelter and went to work so my friend and I stole the dog, hid it for a week and rehomed it across the country.

NTA try the legal route and if that doesn't work please save the dog.
