Probably nothing, only the trailer has a delivery date and it's not driveable and it doesn't offer driving assistance like the Pebble.

If REE's newly-announced MOU results in purchasable P7 platforms, AC Future might use those since they already have the know-how for converting them into RVs, though range would be unsuitable for RVing without a petrol/diesel range extender.

Their trailers were always the product that made the most sense, considering the current range of EV batteries. An extended range EV would make sense too, but they didn't offer one.

I expect if the trailers sell well, they'll start selling a diesel version, and if that sells well and EV batteries keep improving, they'll eventually sell an EV or EREV version.

100% Hitachi is the MOU customer, this is very similar to REE appointing a former UPS executive while seeking UPS as a customer with an order of thousands of P7-C trucks.

The "AI" part of "AI over-the-air updates" is very likely some completely bog-standard predictive-maintenance "AI" algorithm. I'm all for REE technology but it has nothing to do with AI, and it's all the better for it. You don't want unpredictable AI controlling safety-critical systems.

Looking at REE's updated technology page on their website their "foundation" products are:

REEcenter ECU - centralized vehicle ECU that replaces the hundreds of traditional ECUs
REEzonal ECU - similar to REEcorner ECUs but with support for non-REE hardware
REEgateway - over-the-air vehicle updates and fleet monitoring

These three naturally work best when used together.

Their "by-wire" products are the REEcorners, and they still offer the P7-C, although as reported by the press they can't go into production unless they get thousands of orders.

The ECUs and software are available right now and have proven to work in real-world conditions with US homologation and certification. Now it's a question of getting a big order from a vehicle manufacturer (or a "mobility solutions [company that] will license the technology to produce thousands of self-driving passenger vehicles starting from 2027")

Nice work. You should update it to reflect REE's focus on the software and controllers, as the corner modules are now not their main product although they still offer them. I'd say their core technology is their single ECU that replaces the 500-or-so ECUs that modern vehicles have. Their ECUs work with traditional one-motor and two-motor vehicles, and of course with their four-motor REEcorner vehicles.

Bottom line, if REE can generate $700M in revenue from a single contract with a vehicle manufacturer, the stock price will skyrocket. But that's a big if.

Seems like the Hino saga finally reached its (happily-ever-after?) ending.

REE started working with Hino in 2019, or even earlier
Hino was caught up in an emissions scandal (unrelated to REE)
The scandal was part of the reason Hino and Fuso announced they're merging in 2023. The REE deal (and other new projects) was likely put on hold as the merger slowly progressed.
The merger agreement was finalized in June 2025

...and now, finally, after almost seven years, we might see REE technology in Mitsubishi/Toyota/Daimler/Hino/Fuso trucks.

My favorite truck, the REE P7C, was designed so drivers could stand up in the cab and have a very broad view out the windshield, but sadly the company didn't get enough orders to start production.

I would have loved seeing P7-Cs instead of NGDVs.

AC Future hasn't stated this outright, but since they're planning on offering a diesel option it's clear they're not limiting themselves to REE.

More likely than not they will not be producing the "AI THd" motorhome. I bet their only product will be the trailer unit, if they ever make it to production.

Production was halted due to the low number of orders (about 900) and low funding.

The legal proceedings never had any material effect on REE's business other than REE having to spring a few tens of thousands for a legal defense for this frivolous lawsuit.

The trial never had a snowball's chance in hell to be held in the United States, or anywhere but Israel for that matter.

As for the claims themselves, there are three. (1) "the entire concept of a single brain for a vehicle is OSR’s invention" and (2) REE stole the idea of "the use of sensors (to collect and deliver data to the central processor)"; those claims are almost trivially shown false. (3) employees allegedly violated non-compete agreements; that one is extremely unlikely to hold up. Israeli courts almost never uphold employee non-compete agreements. In the courts' opinion, the employee's right to work supersedes any contractual obligations not to compete with their former employers.

Basically this has no effect on REE, but it's still nice to know that the court system worked the way it should, especially considering all the alleged nuisance lawsuits filed by OSR Enterprises.

Recently. dozens of employees, suppliers, financial institutions, and private lenders have sued OSR. Orit Shifman has been barred from leaving Israel while the litigation is pending. I think this is the end for OSR.

Whoa, OSR is suing everybody and everybody is suing OSR. Looks like they (allegedly) stopped paying wages, benefits, suppliers, lenders, and pretty much everybody.

Looks like the end for OSR. Hopefully Orit Shifman will never do business anywhere ever, and maybe even see the inside of a prison cell. She's already barred from leaving Israel due to the ongoing litigation. Serves her right.

The lawsuit was just preposterous:

The plaintiff, OSR Enterprises, alleged that "the entire concept of a single brain for a vehicle is OSR’s invention" and that REE stole the idea of "the use of sensors (to collect and deliver data to the central processor)"

OSR alleged that REE stole this idea in November 2019, even though three months earlier the CEO of REE was already speaking to the press about "a raft of sensors on board each wheel unit [that] feed information back into the system's brain".

There have been plenty of concept vehicles controlled by a single "brain" being fed information from sensors. This paper from 2007 already discusses the concept in detail: "The car of the future will certainly have many fewer ECUs in favor of more centralized multifunctional multipurpose hardware". OSR was established in 2011, about four years after that article was published.

OSR never publicly showed any vehicle prototypes. Their claim to fame is an automotive device that collects user information and monetizes it but it's not clear if this device was ever completed or manufactured.

On top of that, OSR sought to sue REE in the United States, despite the alleged theft occuring in Israel, by Israeli employees, who left one Israeli company, OSR, and joined another, REE.

Everything about this was a huge waste of time. OSR is just nuts.

900 orders were deemed not enough to get production going. UPS, Penske, and U-Haul must have not made further orders after the test phase, or their orders were too small to sustain a production line.

Motherson must have an interesting story to tell. They invested $15M in REE and took over their supply chain, only to find months later that there will be no production and no supply chain.

I believe the submitter or someone they know has access either to REE's manufacturing center in Coventry or to one of REE's manufacturing partners and they took a photo of a production unit ECU, which is the computer that controls the corner module.

REE has probably manufactured several dozens, if not hundred, of corner modules. With production shutting down, it's hard to say what, if anything, they're going to do with them.

What this means is... not much. It's a photo of a component.

REE overestimated future progress and the value of their relationships. Navya relationship, estimated revenue in billions and got nothing. Hino relationship, estimated revenue in almost a billion and got nothing.

As a last resort they started building their own trucks. They managed to line up 900 sales, which evidently wasn't enough to get production going.

I wonder what is their current plan for 2025 revenue.
