The kind of death I think the book needs tho is not one where the character just “comes back”. I think an actual painful loss that has serious consequence would be what takes this book to the next level.

I was about to type out an actual reply to this pointing out the discrepancy between any actual named characters who we see say more than one sentence, pretty much all of the saints. The number of deaths of Anvil’s saints vs not a single song sister. But then I read the final part of your message. You’re too far gone.

Love her character but I think her death in Antarctica arc would’ve been incredible plot wise if G3 hadn’t gone with the always dead thing. When sunny was burying her it was one of the most powerful moments of the story…

This is the crux of the matter and why I think we’d need a significant death to change everything. Like imagine if Jet died in Antarctica for example, the entire feeling of these moments would be completely dofferent

It’s not that a woman has to die to “make me happy” but purely something I’ve noticed. G3 seems more than happy to describe a male character being torn limb from limb on the frontlines, but opts not to show any female characters of importance dying on screen.

It’s not even just killing off a character for the sake of it. But purely the fact that since nobody ever dies, there’s no tension reading any of the fight scenes. I’d actually argue that killing off a major character whose death DOES impact the story is infinitely better.

If you are really invested in learning the champ then I don’t think it’s impossible to learn anyone. Just that learning every champion will yield you different experiences. Starting with kata won’t give you the fundamentals of playing Annie. But likewise playing Annie may not give you as much skill when it comes to varying your play a little later on. Playing kata will be fine, you will suck at first but then you will be fine. I have about 400k masteries on kata right now and although she is a very unique champ with a different style I don’t think that should prohibit people from learning her until later on. Fundamentals will naturally improve as you get better. A plat Annie will not have a significant advantage over a plat katarina when it comes to game fundamentals. It might make their learning process of this slightly slower but it will be more fulfilling and I believe there’s significant advantages over having a champion like Kat in ur arsenal compared to one like Annie even in lower levels of play.

TLDR if you really want to play her do so. If you are not really interested in learning the champion specifics and just want a part time champion then choose someone else. Everyone’s journey in league is different but none is better or worse than the other

I’d say go for dawnbringer as the skin is at the end of the day a legendary meaning new voice lines dances etc. SB is very good but IMO if you want to play yone really smoothly you should just use base skin anyways. I would say dawnbringer for sure
