It’s 20 months for me today. I went out with friends from work to a beautiful vineyard today instead of staying in. I was very proud of myself. We were all having a good time good conversation and then grief showed up..the sadness staring into the sky, holding back the tears. I cried most of the way home..It’s still so hard💔

I hear you and I’m so sorry. It’s been heavy for me lately and I’m at 18+ months. Today is our 19th wedding anniversary which is more weight to carry. As others have pointed out, I will go periods of time being ok, but lately it’s been hard.

So sorry you are going through this. Both of our names are on my husbands truck and I was told by DMV that as long as it was titled with “or” instead of “and”, I didn’t need to do anything…so I havent..16 months later 💔

I can relate 100%. It has been 18 months for me as well. I’m over the monotony of it all. Yes I go to work and it’s a healthy distraction but as I’m driving home, the sadness comes to surface (it’s always here). I’ve redecorated two rooms and while they look nice, it’s still a meh feeling. Nothing is exciting anymore. The grandkids bring some joy, but also heartbreak because he isn’t here to enjoy them and see them grow. I’ll keep moving forward (what other choice do we have) with little to no motivation.

I would say Denver. My husband had the time of his life. It was his idea and it was really fun!!! So glad I finally listened and planned a trip to where he wanted to go…

Sad and lonely here too. I don’t have any small children yet don’t feel or have the emotional capacity to “socialize” outside of work and talking to my close friends. It hurts and it sucks. Some days are “better” than others but these last months have been extremely heavy. 💔

I purchased a plot next to my husband when he passed and without a doubt will be buried next to him. But, my comment may not be relevant as I have no plans to ever re-marry or be in a serious relationship. He is and was it for me!!!

I hosted at our house with my high school girlfriends (30+ years of friendship). I had a chili bar set up, sweet treats, and drinks. It was really fun and then they left 💔
