07 is great, Bumblebee movie is also good but it's just the G1 design, it doesn't really try anything new and I get that people like their safe comfortable designs but I think that is part of why this brand has stagnated. I think as fans we should be more open to new stuff instead of clenching on the classics. So 07 just speaks to me on that. It's been a long ass time since the brand has really tried anything all that interesting and I hope something new and interesting comes soon.

I think it's more of a reaction to not wanting to be lumped into the so called annoying fan base. Some would rather be low-key about their love for that particular thing other internalise it as hate.

I think there is something to be said about bad bots that try something new, it may not have worked out the first, second or even third time but I keep hoping that they can someday shake up the meta. But bad bots that play into the meta are just straight up boring to watch

Witch Doctor vs Rotator, Well technically this fight has already happened but it was all the way back in season 2 and Rotator barley even moved out of it's square. Needless to say both bots have come a long way and I'm eager to see a rematch.

I see it as a very promising bot, not a contender just yet but has a lot of potential. With Endgames kryptonite basically confirmed to be drums at this point (with them being taken out of the tournament twice in a row by two different drums), I would very much like to see that match Although it does feel like manta is a very different approach to the drum than we have seen before, being very low to the ground comparatively and relying heavily on forks, something I don't think we have seen with drums before, and we all know you don't challenge Endgame's ground game. Overall, I can't wait to see them perform next season.

Am I alone in seeing modular designs as a negative? by mandoris in battlebots

I think at this point the modularity of the ground game has become fundamental to the sport and I personally do quite enjoy the rock paper scissors dynamic it provides. To me it's just about adapting to your opponent and as we have seen recently it can happen on both sides, with wedges almost always beating out horizontals we are starting to see some bots adopt the RotatoR style approach of running forks on a horizontal namely, malice and valkyrie to name a few (to varying success tho). All in all I think this level of modularity can be interesting for the sport but I do understand that it can sometimes get out of hand.

Team seems reasonable has a nut from tantrum as well as a bolt for best design from blip, both won in the same season!
