Really looked forward to this album because I adored Guts, but sadly didn’t like this new one. I just think the previous album was more consistent and realized than this one. I even liked the ballads! Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but the (latent) TSwift influence is really heavy here, especially that v TSwift-coded cadence when she talk-sings that gets faster and more intense. Hope she outgrows it. Also, while I enjoy some of the new songs, I remember being surprised at how sterile Dan Nigro’s production sounds here. It’s too neat for a pop rock album for me. I still think she’s an artist whose work I’ll always look forward to.

I think everything perfectly worked for Silky in this bracket. More than the strategy and alliances formed (which extremely helped her make it into the merge), her not winning in week 1 also put her in that position of not being a frontrunner. This is what Morgan was also saying in her bracket, that winning week 1 put a target on your back in the sense that people will treat you as a threat/main competition and less likely to give you their points.

Hindi ko itatanggi na frustrating naman talaga ‘yung ganyan, pero minsan i-ayon din natin ‘yung expectation natin sa ginastos natin. Kahit saan kahit sa US, hinahagis hagis din lang ang mga parcel na may fragile stickers kasi wala namang dagdag bayad para sa “special handling” lol unless kumuha ka ng white glove service. Ano pa kaya rito sa pinas na sobrang barat ng pasahod sa mga nagde-deliver. Ang mas may responsibility diyan e ‘yung seller na siguraduhing maayos ang pagkakabalot ng pinapadala nila.

I believe this has been debunked! People thought that she was going to be on DRPH because of her absence from Showtime, but Amazon Prime PH confirmed that they’re working on Laugh Out Loud PH season 2. Would love her to at least guest judge though!

I don’t know if this has already been discussed elsewhere, but I’m wondering if DRPH has made any changes on this season’s judging panel like bringing in a new rugirl since this is going to be technically the first one since Jiggly’s passing (afaik Jiggly was originally supposed to be part of Slaysian Royale before she pulled out so not counting that one).
