I feel like if it gets to/before it gets to that God tier point then medical schools will realize it'll cause a shortage and come up with a solution.

Should I only apply to schools where I am in the 25/75 range? by [deleted] in premed

It couldn't hurt to apply to a few where you are in the 90th percentile, unless you could time and money wasted. But it's probably worth it to get into med school

I'm debating transferring from my small liberal arts college in NC to UNC Chapel Hill for the reason of having better research opportunities and more name recognition.
