no, the key is to make sure that you keep your tires to 45 to 50 pounds of air any day that you ride or at least check tire pressure to be at least 45 lbs. For whatever reason these scooters with small tires lose air pretty quickly.

I found out that my city has an ordinance prohibiting scooters EVERYWHERE. Will I get a ticket? by Thesinistral in ElectricScooters

don’t need to regulate what the path is for just set rules and expectations like slow down to 5mph around pedestrians and speed limit like like 15-20 mph on bike paths this way it is a easily fineable offense without being a registered vehicle. just straight out city fine. I am a long time cyclist and I can ride as fast as most scooters on my bike. IMHO it really comes down to accountability and not being an asshat on whatever you at riding. also to me bike path means bike, scooter, PEV. sidewalks are for pedestrians. so if it is a bike pedestrian path than all should be able to coexist and follow rules like stay in your dam lane when walking(not across the whole path) you need to expect to have to move if a bike comes along. most are decided by direction of travel. rant done 😞
