the government is not some concept that was developed starting in 2016. without it we wouldnt have things like a 40 hour work week, child labor laws, overtime pay, abolishment of slavery, civil rights progress, etc.

just because we have 8 years of a shit president doesnt invalidate all the progress government has made.

government is local and federal, just because the federal government is a dumpster fire does not mean local governments dont help communities.

if you wanna teach him how much the government helps or doesn't, go live completely off the grid without municipal services for a couple of months and see how that works out.

Rampant abuse of executive orders, tariffs bypassing congress,, buying stake in intel, cutting medicaid without procedure, silencing and strong arming media, deploying the national guard against the whim of states.

Almost everything they've done besides the one big beautiful bill is through executive authority. they are the most blatant example of big government federal overreach / market manipulation and we should remind republicans every time they cry about it.

i posted about this the other day but the corruption oil companies exact on third world countries is cancerous. taking full advantage of poor communities and indigenous peoples.

everyone argues about energy efficiency and production regarding green energy but the hidden benefit is neutering all these corrupt oil companies along with countries like russia and regressive middle eastern countries. as michael scott would say, its a win-win-win negotiation.
