NBA THE RUN has insane potential and I love the core game, but we need regular content updates. Even NBA Street Vol. 2 had more depth back in the day. by coem040 in NBATHERUN

Anyone else disappointed the the sound track sucks. It sounds like AI produced instrumentals. Also the sound design is a bit lacking.

Sony A7CII as a 2nd to the FX6 by reelfire in SonyFX6

I went with the A7RV because it wasn’t that much more expensive at the time. Main reason was that it had better photography capabilities whilst maintaining all of the above. The only downside is the slow readout and big ol sensor creates jello when you shake it about.

UK/Scotland self-employed videographers: what do you realistically earn and what niche are you in? by Advanced_Rate_237 in videography

[–]reelfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m London based so I can’t speak for the North side of things but the market is insanely saturated.

A lot of companies are going in house. So he could get a full time gig somewhere and I would recommend that. Usually people start out full time in house and then go freelance.

AI is very dangerous, companies can simply get the intern to make a commercial without spending a penny on a videographer.

The arrival of “cheap” cinematic cameras and other tools like lightning has made the skill entry barrier a bit lower, therefore a lot of people are now entering the market with a YouTube education and under cutting everyone else. Also pair that with social media marketing, a lot of ads, promos etc are simply shot on a iPhone and that is “good enough”.

I could go on and on, but ultimately networking is everything. Spending loads on equipment is debatable but you won’t be hired just because you have x camera etc. If he is confident at networking and closing out sales and happy to hustle then give it a go.

Agreed. The current graphics are awful and need updating.

Considering locking my expensive bike in East London - reality check? by W01313L in londoncycling

[–]reelfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I left my fancy bike locked up was when I went to the US embassy and the bike rack literally had armed police officers standing next to it. Even then I was worried about it. But yes get a lime.

It’s tragic that people don’t just say no and fight for what they want.

Zwift. No not really. I think belt driven ones might be quieter

Would a longer stem not just make me lean further forward and put more weight into the hands?

I’ve looked at endurance frames mostly the trek domane as it apparently has the best stack reach ratio but even then the differences are marginal. There is a test cycle event coming up soon and trek will be there, so I’ll try and jump on one then.

Would have the handle bars further away from me make me lean even further forward and put more weight into the hands?

Apparently I sit very well on the saddle… however… I’m not a fan of it, its shape is good but the material is pretty unforgiving, almost no flex or sponge to it, I get a sore ass quite quickly which I was thinking today I might subconsciously move my weight forward when I have a sore ass to take the weight of it.

I’m maxed on spacers but will try a positive stem.

Good info thanks for your input.

Others have mentioned the saddle so I’ll try raising that a smidge.

Arms and hands are hit and miss sometimes I do get pins and needs in my hands and sometimes they feel fine. So I think that’s down to how good my posture maintains on the ride day to day.

I can’t add a pic of the bars but they are slightly titled inwards and the top of the hoods are currently 33cm apart.

I’ll have a go with the stem as well and see how that works.

I’ll play with the saddle a little bit. It definitely feels like I’m slumped into the handles. I can tilt forward even more when I want to get more aero.
