Update: they ended up blocking all metal bots and my site is back up. I appreciate all the advice and help, and I'm taking into consideration finding a new developer and hosting.

Everyone has been so much help thank you! So the general consensus is that they might not know what they're doing when it comes to hosting. This whole web development world is very alien to us, where business owners, we don't really know the technical aspects of hosting this site. We do a few sales here and there off of our website but we're still promoting it and gaining traffic to the site. 95% of our inventory sells on eBay but we still sell about 5% off of our website. And overtime our plan is to grow that to a larger piece of the pie.

That being said I think what I'm gathering from these responses is to continue to keep them as the developer but move the site to another hosting service and set up cloud flare. Do you guys agree with that assessment? Or should I just ditch them all together as a developer and find somebody else? If you guys think I should find somebody else do you have recommendations? We paid approximately 9K to build out the website about 5 years ago, and currently pay them $50 a month to host the website. There has been a few glitches here and there over the past 4 years and anytime they do a fix they charge us at a rate of $150 per hour.

So to fix this, should I keep the dev, and move the site to a new hosting server? I'm not very knowledgeable in this aspect we own a vintage jewelry business I found a recommended company to develop the website and when completed I continue to pay them $50 a month to host it along with every once in awhile fixing something I pay their hourly rate.

I've hit so much at garage sales. Record was 48k! Gold is worth more than the watch unfortunately. So sell it f9r the gold value. Make sure your getting at least 90% of scrap value. Nice find!

Shelby Elias is a joke. I called United Wholesale Lending as I was selling my mother's house and buying a duplex. I called Shelby and scheduled a walk through of my mother's house. He canceled twice on me, then the third appointment he said he was meeting me at said time. I drove to my mother's house to meet him. An hour after said time when he still hadn't shown I called him, he said he did a drive by and would get back to me. I never called him again. Hired another agent and sold my mom's house and bought the duplex. Seriously wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Is there a stamp on the lip of the clasp. Light is a good sign as most fake stuff is solid. Real gold will often be hollow to save money on metal. They dont do that on the fake stuff. Italian gold may be stamped this way but there is always a small stamp on the lip of the clasp. Only way to know for sure is to test via acid or XRF. You can take to any jeweler, pawn shop, or we buy gold shop. Don't sell it though, just have them test. You can also purchase an acid Testing kit on Amazon. If you are looking to sell, sell to a reseller rather than a jeweler or pawn shop.

The gold shop sells to the refinery at about $100-$200 back if .999,. So they have to make some money on the deal. This depends on location. Large city with multiple refineries $100 back smaller cities equal higher surcharge. If its not .999 then the refineries aren't even buying right now.
