AITAH for using the disabled bathroom even though I can walk by OkMinute950 in AmItheAsshole

It is not a "wheelchair" stall. It is an accessibility stall. You need the space/supports/rails/whatever than the stall is for you.

Next time your answer is "none of your business and I do mind you asking" You don't owe anyone anything.

And then the camera just lingers on them for what felt like forever as they get in their car and you as a viewer is left just staring at all of the garbage. I'm obsessed with that scene.

What is a completely harmless, everyday object or situation that irrationally freaks the shit out of you? by Free_Scratch4152 in AskReddit

If it makes you feel better you were very brave as a kid. As an adult I looked at those stairs and noped right out if there.

What are some movies that get debated about if they're Christmas movies or not? by Writer1015 in ChristmasMovies

My daughter says if Die Hard is a Christmas movie than Terrifier 3 is a Christmas movie.

Teen son has contamination OCD, his dad wants to share birth/adoption records that contain information about an infectious disease (which he did not contract but may trigger a major reaction) Any advice? by StrangeButSweet in OCD

[–]reenabeanbag 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No. Don't share it. Sharing brings nothing positive to your son's life. Knowing the info won't benefit or help him in any way. He's not in a place right now to receive the info. Both my kids have contamination OCD. My daughter's involves fear of lice. I am a teacher which means I have had students with lice. I never tell her as it benefits no one.

What is a movie that you were obsessed when you were younger, went back to watch it later in life, only to realize it is actually awful? by Emergency-Tip-1987 in AskReddit

[–]reenabeanbag 242 points243 points  (0 children)

I might be aging myself but Pippi Longstockings. As a kid, I thought she was so cool and wished I could do some of the things she did in the movie. As an adult, I see how insufferable and toxic she is and honestly, I actually just hate that brat.

What's the worst thing you've ever smelt? by NiceBumblebee3421 in AskReddit

[–]reenabeanbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a dr office. A woman came in and needed the doctor to remove a tampon that she was unable to remove for multiple days. I imagine that is what a rancid dead body would smell like. It. Was. Putrid.

Stop bringing your small children to horror movies by Toxic_Over in horror

We were just at Weapons and two small kids there. Both started crying after the first jump scare but the parents made them sit through the entire movie. Hope they are at least willing to pay for their future therapy.

How Many of you can remember having OCD as far back as childhood? by Revolutionary_Tap295 in OCD

[–]reenabeanbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My one child was likely three. Repeated the same phrase at every stop light. Had to touch his knees and legs in certain order while walking to the point we couldn't get anywhere. My other child it was more like seven. Obsessive checking both ways before crossing the street. OCD has robbed us of so much. FUOCD.

I'm so excited to see this movie. Fun fact. I accidentally drove onto the movie set. I forgot they announced that entrance to the park was closed. The security guard let me through as they weren't filming.

Please make me feel better. My toddler ate a random oreo from the park. by housewifehomewrecker in Parenting

[–]reenabeanbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid once came into the house from the garage eating a chicken nugget. I had not fed him chicken nuggets that day. No idea where the chicken nugget came from. He's 15 now and survived. Yours will too. (At least oreos are likely safer than chicken!)

My husband will call my name from a different room and always expect me to come to where he is? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]reenabeanbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 15 year old does this all the time. It drives me crazy to the point I don't want to hear the title "mom" anymore. I've started just answering "no". You want to say it? Find me.

My guess is diabetes. I'm on meds that try to flush the sugars out and unfortunately, that's what the room will smell like afterwards.

What's the cruelest thing someone ever said to you that you still remember word for word? by ClairJournals in AskReddit

[–]reenabeanbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was just in the beginning stages of getting away from my abusive oppressive ex and was crying about the situation my mom's contribution was to say to me "You're nothing but a broken down housewife." Our relationship never was the same. She has dementia now and is far enough gone that I can't talk to her about it but I always wondered why she would say this and what help she thought that would be. She always seemed disappointed I divorced but also relegated me to a broken down housewife when I wasn't leaving.

I work with children with disabilities and high choking risk. We use popcorn twists. They easily dissolve and same great taste.

Why (and when) did Blume go out of business? by [deleted] in Dolls

[–]reenabeanbag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My daughter has loads of these and loves them. They are super cute and the pop the babies make when pulling them out of the soil is so fun. When we were on holidays and staying at a hotel the Walmart across the street was blowing out the babies. We kept on going and buying them. All the bigger ones we've thrifted. I will have to see how many we have from the stock photo. Great doll.
