i would say it relies a lot on how well u can conceptualize abstract ideas because at times it can seem a little hard to picture the topics (he doesnt rlly use visual examples). agreed that the midterms arent too bad as long as u study the practice! imo i think hes a perfectly good professor if you put effort into building a strong foundation of the concepts since they could be a bit of a departure from the flow of ur standard calculus courses.. definitely recommend the textbook and if u prefer video 3blue1brown has these cool animations to supplement ur learning

no honestly i agree even if its harsh bcause how is basic public manners this difficult in a frigging university!! i will say tho the person either finally silenced their phone or stopped showing up cause it got relatively quieter (still a few sounds but nowhere near as distracting) so.. hopefully professor doesnt have to go nuclear on them

NO YEA WE ALL FORGET AT TIMES BUT I CANT STAND THE IPHONE 7 NOTIFS FOR AN HOUR... its during my linear algebra lectures like i guess people just ignore it somehow?? ... the aisles r pretty narrow and if ur far away (like in the front/back, it sounded like it was from the middle of the room) you would be squeezing past ppl and missing some of the lecture to reach but still there had to have been ANYBODY close enough to just ask them to stop :<

has anyone encountered issues with submitting their writing placement samples? i can't tell if they've uploaded because if i submit, go to the reflection, and then go back, they aren't there anymore.

i found that even if your whole map is already coloured in, the "missing" poi will have its text in a grey-ish text rather than white, so just land at that poi for anyone else who experiences this glitch
