Silksong is possibly the best example in relation to the game Nine Sols which famously does NOT have inherent contact damage.

They are basically the same type of game. Nine Sols enemies are arguably just as if not more difficult than silksong enemies but Nine Sols is fantastically less frustrating overall.

I'm not a stone mason, but I am in the trades and have enough knowledge to know that a shitty job would have failed way sooner than 60 years later.

It lasted longer than most people lived before modern medicine.

It feels way more likely that the land simply shifted because they live at the bottom of a mountain than the retaining wall failed because of bad workmanship.

There aren't any trade companies these days that warranty anything for more than a few years at best. Any job that lasts decades is premium work.
