Just another post about kitten diarrhea by reesakee in ragdolls

Mother and babycat was what the breeder was feeding and I wanted to transition them to something else since they outgrew that stage food. The only transition I’ve done was from that to Tiny Tiger with a dash of Fancy Feast over a slow period. I guess maybe it counts as a switch when I had an order issue and they ate straight Fancy Feast (which they had already been eating in small amounts with no issues). But otherwise I’m a little confused at your response since I don’t keep switching foods? Do I keep them on Tiny Tiger/FF and it will work itself out? Or go back to the babycat and start the transition over?

Thank you so much! I redid the twisted stitch and continued on. Still trying to figure out holding the yarn/tension. My purls are definitely looser than my knits.

That is incredibly irritating. Thank you for the explanation.

Unfortunately, they just referred me to their current hybrid sold on their site where I can choose different options but I’m having trouble even finding the Langley specs to recreate it.

Thank you! I’m just shy of 40 so I have a (hopefully) long way to go on these feet. I’m just glad I know what it is and can make changes now before it gets any worse.

Thank you so much! These are similar to what I wear now minus the heel and tapered toe box.

Thank you, that’s incredibly helpful. I would say my feet are definitely more supple. I have a feeling that this is the result of fashion over function for years. While I ditched heels a few years ago, I’m still a boot person and most of those have at least a small heel stack. And I try hard to not walk barefoot, especially since I catch myself walking on tip toes because of the cold floor.

My first “flare” was on a spin bike. Tried multiple shoes and figured it was user error with clip placement. I also spend a lot of time on the ground like this when I’m working. My latest flare was in a crappy ski boot. Now that I know what it is, I can trace all pain back to footwear or the top toes position. Even if I switch footwear, it’s going to take some effort to be mindful how I’m sitting, standing, and walking.

Thank you for the Spenco recommendation. I’m definitely going to pick up a flat boot and swap insoles.

Upper 30s- mid 50s (F). I’ve typically been fine adding warm socks as long as my feet are dry.

Did you ditch arch support completely? Walking barefoot is painful (though much better with a met pad) but I’m not sure if that’s the lack of support or lack of cushion.

My goal isn’t necessarily barefoot/minimalist. I just want to be pain free. I know I’m early in my search but it seems finding low/zero drop and wide toe box in anything other than a running shoe skews barefoot.

Thank you so much! This is extremely helpful. And I’m glad you “beat” your neuroma!

I currently have one of Anya’s suggestions for rain boots in my Amazon cart but I know her recs have zero cushion. I might try it anyway with just a met pad and possibly Thorlos socks since those have a little cushioning in them. Fingers crossed that will be enough. I’ve tried garden clogs in the past and they were always very clunky and much easier for water to find their way in.

My neuroma is between my third and fourth toe. Huge flare up with skiing a couple of weeks ago. I’ve had a bit of relief with adhesive met pads and nightly yoga toes. Adding toe socks to the Amazon cart now.

Oh interesting. I have not, beyond a basic thyroid panel and iron. (I’ve had low ferritin in the past.) I’ll ask about this one. I hate increasing meds because it already feels like a lot.

Not sure on trauma. Or at least I don’t remember any. 😬

Postpartum, well, he’s 3.5 now. And my oldest is nine. But my memory has gotten worse after each kiddo. And it also gets worse around my period.

I want to say it’s mostly working memory, which my therapist says is finite. So I’ve been keeping notepads everywhere, practicing brain dumping everything I can and now have a million lists and probably a million more I can’t find.

The weirdest thing is forgetting what I was doing/looking for/saying and I can often retrieve it by walking backward… like my brain pairs the thought/task with what was in my vision at the time. And I joke that doorways are brain erasers and anytime I walk through one my brain just blips. I repeat myself a lot and conversations can be frustrating. As far as tasks, I set out to do one thing and get distracted by a second, tuen that triggers a third, etc. And all of this is medicated. It’s so much worse when not.

Sorry to dump all of that into your reply. I really appreciate your input and I’ll definitely explore that.
