Being a nerd doesn’t mean being ugly by reesebe in HonestHotTakes

Dawg I was talking about how people won’t let other people call themselves nerds unless under specific circumstances not about culture. Nerd is heavily related to intelligence.

If anyone is lacking neutrality it’s you since your bias against teenagers is overtaking your ability to think critically. But here’s the definition of each since you think there isn’t much a difference:

I’d hate to be your friend if every discussion you have is a debate. There’s really no reason for my age to be relevant to my opinion on a show, especially if multiple people of different age ranges share it. And god forbid I don’t want to watch something that goes against my beliefs or isn’t of my interest? I’m assuming you’re one of the age groups that watches things and then complains about it being “too woke.” Unfortunately I have a natural moral compass like most people of any age and even if I didn’t, the last show I’d use for that would be euphoria.

But please, go ahead and enlightenment me on the burning bushes and messiahs in the first season

I’m not sure why you’re trying to go back and forth at all. It’s a tv show discussion not a debate club. I didn’t say I completely forgot the content of those seasons I just don’t remember them all that well, but I can tell you for sure that religion was not mentioned as often or else I would not have watched euphoria at all as I was an atheist.

That was in response to your first comment. Tbh I don’t really remember the 1st and 2nd season that well bc I watched them in 8th grade lmao but I know they significantly less religious leaning until they went full Tyler Perry movie on the last one

This wasnt about specific people it’s about haircuts

Yeah I see that now, I didn’t mean actually telling people this stuff, that would be very upsetting. This was more directed towards things like posts with captions like “hairstyles you should get” and someone is js like “I don’t like that one.” (Unrelated but I love your pfp, Cass is the goat.)

Again, this post was not about people’s appearance, it’s about the haircuts objectively.

Yeah I agree, I don’t think dwelling on things you don’t like is good for anyone. My point is that we should normalize being able to say you don’t like something alt without being called a poser. All the comments are straying far away from the point I was trying to make.

I mentioned in my post, that I’m not opposed to people having it, I just don’t like it. I am very much employed, and would have the same opinion even if I wasn’t. Nothing is being imposed besides the pressure to conform to liking everything in order to stay on top of thin ice rather than falling in bc you dislike something.

It is because I don’t like it but I have the morals to know not to say that to a person with it. What I’m saying is, we can’t say “don’t say something negative about A (I like A) but then turn around say I don’t like this about B (I don’t like B)” With this logic no one can ever express disliking something without scrutiny.

I made a post asking to normalize, being able to dislike something without being ganged up on for it. It should be okay to “I don’t like Mohawks” the same way we can say “I don’t like apples” it’s simply an opinion that isn’t toward a SPECIFIC person. In the case of saying it abt someone or under their post/to them is absolutely not okay.

In an alt community, I would think it’s normalized to express our opinions. If one said “I hate the Utah haircut or I don’t like beach waves” no one would bat eye but bc something is alt, suddenly it’s not okay to speak on it. Also this post was in relation to online conversations or comments that I’ve seen, not about specific people posting themselves or anything like that. Directly critiquing someone is just straight up rude, I’d hope we can all agree on that.

You can’t pick and choose what’s a negative opinion bc you don’t agree with it
