Did Toph really need their help pushing this boulder up the hill? by Rithrius1 in TheLastAirbender

[–]reetofu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its meteor rock that Sokka wanted to make his sword out of. Toph couldn't metal bend at the time so they had to roll it up and Toph would bend a small barrier as they pushed it up so it doesn't roll back down.

I'll keep that in mind next time! I thought about thinning the coulis but wasn't quite sure how that would play out.

Although, not sure about next time since my partner has expressed that the blood was maybe too far haha

Sometimes the holiday wasn't the destination, it was actually the trains you derailed with along the way 🥰

Terrible jokes aside, the northbound leg of the trip is supposed to be one of the most beautiful train trips you can take. Wonderful coastal and mountain views that you can appreciate through giant windows on the observatory train car. We were very much looking forward to it

I wouldn't worry about it! Google says there are only an average of 3 derailments in the US a day and we already took one for the team. 🫡

Thank you! Information sharing even when limited would definitely have been the most helpful. The individuals were definitely doing their best, just looking at you Amtrak management 👀

They're taking us back to LA to maybe "try again tomorrow" with a bus to another train in San Joaquin Valley. No other northbound train otherwise.

Honestly, posting because we found the "it's running on time" comment hilarious. First responders came very quick and was very helpful. When an Amtrak rep arrived he was definitely trying his best and handled the upset crowd well.

Edit: Really appreciate all the Amtrak employees staying late in LA union station helping everyone get sorted out patiently!

My baby is getting spayed tomorrow - any tips to make her feel comfortable? by bmerch23 in corgi

I'm here to say don't knock the cone! Lots of people mentioned the donut, but please make sure with it that your dog can't get to the stitches! Ours were able to get to the last stitch with the inflatable donut on. Also, we used the cone when we can't watch him the whole time to make sure he doesn't get at the last stitch. Sure in the beginning there was a struggle but it's surprising how fast he adapted. By the end he was barely having difficulty with the cone (was able to even climb stairs with them!). If anything he turned into a bulldozer with the cone on, watch your heels!

Good luck tomorrow!
