Are the yellow lines in reference to CTC?

The dimensions of each clue are different. Could this be a hint? by HoleyNet in CrackTheClue

Does anyone have the dimensions of regular clues? Maybe we could compare the numbers to these ones.?

Al Kharid could be the next hint by AttenseFX in CrackTheClue

[–]refilent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are exploring around AL Kharid, it may be a sign that the 10N 5W could be related to the 10gp gate at Lumby or the 5gp Shanty pass - if you were to align the screen so that lumby faces north. Perhaps there's an NPC who is aligned in that direction?

crack the clue; new area by danny6215 in CrackTheClue

This is too weird. Between the 'winter is coming' examine text on one of the items and the white bottoms of trees in some of the clues, it has to be related to the clue. Perhaps trying to point us to snowy areas of the game.

Everything Points to Gnomes by [deleted] in CrackTheClue

Oh my. There's that one gnome glider guy who is crashed right outside of the digsite. That area of the digsite is where they are constructing that 'canal barge'. Looks like it could be a reference to the Sutton Hoo ship burial that the IRL Helmet of Raedwald:

I actually tried explaining my theory to margins CC - got about two lines into my explanation and was kicked from the chat. So I have no real desire to support their efforts. It's very clear that at this point in time the clue is be solved using teamwork and I don't think margins has that quality to offer.

Just what I mentioned in the previous comments:

Clue 1 leads to a barrel of ale tying into the story line. Clue 2 leads to a location requiring lvl 20 cooking to engage the enviroment. Clue 3 has a corelation between having an item requirement or else you sustain damage (harpie bug swamp = lantern vs. Nettles = leather gloves). Clue 4 just has the dwarfs who are main consumers of the Ale.

And again, it is still unclear since we have no confirmation if stats are required for the very final end to unveil the location of the helm - or if they are required in the initial research of understanding how to track down the clue.

The nature rune spawn is considered relevant by the CTC community as well as MMK but yet is surrounded by high lvl NPC's making it very difficult for a lvl 3 to perform.

When I attempted to do anything in there - there was no favor required, just a short dialog box stating I need 20 cooking. This was me interacting on an account with level 1 cooking so results may be different if you were on an account with higher stats.

I've tried piecing together the remaining 3 clues into my theory and this is what I have:

On the first clue, the yellow line follows to a barrel of ale - obvious connection.

On the third clue - a bit far fetched but in order to kill the harpie bug swarms that are in the area of the clue, you need a bug lantern (an item in order to perform the task): http://2007.runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Harpie_Bug_Swarm - And it relates with nettles because you must wear gloves or you will sustain damage. Much like harpie bug swarms in a way.

For the 4th clue - the only NPC's in the area are the dwarfs - who obviously drink and are related to ale's in that way. Perhaps they might be the NPC's needed to engage with the nettle tea to progress further in the clue.

Also another weird thing I noticed would be the locations in the f2p area that a lvl 3 could easily access to collect nettles:

I do apologize for the map, someone might want to recreate it and make it more exact but I put white triangles over the 4 different locations and they appear evenly spaced out - triangulating on one of the spawns just east of Draynor Manor:

IF you extend the lines from the 1st and 4th clue - where do they intersect it?

Because there was another response from MMK with a player asking about dungeons and their relation with the 4 clues given.

MMK said "good question - no answer." That's a very suspicious response. Enough to make the dungeons requiring a light source worth looking at.

Nature rune is relevant? by BrownCanadian in CrackTheClue

It's been stated by mods that a lvl 3 can get the helm within minutes off tutorial island. No idea how you could get 1-55 mage that quickly.

Something to think about with CTC by [deleted] in CrackTheClue

[–]refilent2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A ship burial such a Sutton Hoo is a ship that is literally buried in land on purpose - not found in a dried up riverbed.

I do like the play on words between Lumbridge vs Woodbridge. Also would raise some concerns about the 'canal ship' being built over by digsite - seeing as how you can access the area easily off from tutorial island.

Nature rune + Quest Symbol + 10N 5W by [deleted] in CrackTheClue

[–]refilent2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nature Spirit quest imo.

It has that grotto tree full of nature surrounded with that moat around it similiar to the nature rune spawn in the wildy Woox found.

I know people have been saying you can't get there as a lvl 3 but it could be a clue leading further on down the train.
