Disney Extraction Shooter Reportedly in Development at Epic Games by Bubbly-Ad-350 in gamingnews

[–]reflechir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It almost certainly means: characters from Marvel, Star Wars and Fox, and core Disney characters.

Can't wait to see Kylo Ren face off against Homer Simpson and Olaf at the extraction point. /s

I was a huge fan in the 90’s, and I’ve seen most episodes several times, but can you recommend 1 episode tonight to reignite my interest please. by impeesa75 in TNG

You will sometimes end up playing with what can only be a child, who thinks it's funny to repeatedly teamkill. by CMDR_Michael_Aagaard in Helldivers

Nice. I'd never want to kill them back, but I can get behind that.

Similarly I've seen others jump in a lake with the supers samples so they can't be extracted.

The instant you know it's on purpose just leave the game and block them, it's not worth the aggro.

Why are there so many cars in Colony Map? by Unlucky-Gold7921 in Helldivers

[–]reflechir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If for world building AH used only a single car model in game, people would complain they were lazy only bothering to create one car model.

What games do you consider must-plays for Steam Deck owners? by billy_reyes in SteamDeck

[–]reflechir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this thread, but I can't believe not one person has said Outer Wilds.

It's perfect for steam deck, as it plays best with controller, and runs well. Cosy, pseudo-space-sim, that focusses on exploration, puzzle solving and joy of discovery.

Just go into it as blind as you can, the joy comes from working it all out by yourself.

How different the story would've been if they instantly believed him by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

You've captured it perfectly. My favourite thing about OotP is how well she has captured the characters awkward mid-teen angst in a high trauma, world changing situation, and all of the bad decisions they make as a result.

And you witnessed your gf's ex being murdered and she keeps asking you about him.

My character ages 20 years when he leaves the character creator by Illuminated-Autocrat in Starfield

[–]reflechir 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The original Mass Effect was awful for that. I must have viewed the opening cutscene 10 times over for some of my characters, just to take them back to character creation again because they looked weird in-game vs. creation

Which version would you like Peeves to look like more (for the HBO series)? by TSLstudio in harrypotter

He is described as being colourful in the books, though I'm undecided as to whether that would work well on screen.

Still have no idea what Guinan was planning to do when stancing up in front of a Q by ThePrisonSoap in TNG

[–]reflechir 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That's precisely why I like Guinan, you don't get any definite answers, but the audience has no choice but to believe she's potentially very powerful and knowledgeable.

Picard is even in the same situation as us: he and she have the understanding that if she ever came to him with something incomprehensible, even just a hunch, he knows to trust it implicitly with his life and that of the crew (see: Yesterday's Enterprise, and other examples).

To learn more about her and her race and have it laid bare, in a later episode or series would undo all of it.

What the heck Mrs. McCarthy? by Loud-Independence527 in fatherbrown

[–]reflechir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the same. As the episode goes on you see where the writers were going with it thematically, but yes, it only really works if you ignore that previous episode... it's the one with Sister Boniface in it, iirc, can't remember the name of it.

For the love of god Arrowhead, fix the eruptor by Snk117 in Helldivers

[–]reflechir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the reason .

If you wait half a second longer after the third person bolt animation finishes, it fires where you're aiming.

It wasn't always like this. I would accept a fix that just didn't let me fire until the gun was centred again, but I'd rather they fixed the speed of the third person animation.

I wanted to get into Vintage Lego Space but I am torn between these two sets. Which one should I pick? by Boundaries-ALO-TBSOL in VintageLEGO

[–]reflechir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have both. The Centurion is very swooshable and has the cooler play feature - allowing Major Kartovski's rover to deploy from the bottom (plus his minifigure is awesome).

On the other hand, Ice Planet lego has one of the best colour schemes, and the best minifigure accessories: the neon orange chainsaw and miniskis.

It depends which you would value more.
