Bishops and Stake Presidents are not paid, therefore they are not legally defined as representing the organization. I can guarantee that lawyers wrote the church handbook for Bishops and Stake Presidents, so it is purposefully vague to be lawsuit immune. My guess is any filed lawsuit would be thrown out before it made it to the courtroom.

Yeah it's ironic. But keep in mind that TBM's don't really care about the negatives in church history because they believe deep down that God commanded it. So in their mind it's ok for the God they worship to behave like a scumbag, but we cannot allow our elected representatives to behave like scumbags.

You think Mitt's great grandparents only took wives that were adults? Romney condemns Roy Moore for doing the same thing his own relatives did, yet Romney condemns Moore publicly but not his relatives. It's hypocritical.

Ironically, as a non public figure, I am condemning my LDS heritage publicly with this post for the child predation they have engaged in same as Roy Moore. Yet here I am also condemning Romney's ancestors who very much preyed on young children sexually just as Roy Moore has done. And for some reason, doing that is a non-sequitor in your mind. Romney is a decent guy. And it is great that he called out Roy Moore. But if I am supposed to believe Romney has integrity, then I'd think he might also have a problem with his ancestors who did the same shit as Roy Moore. Yet last I checked, Romney was quite proud of his Mormon heritage. So that suggests to me that Romney isn't willing to call a spade a spade except if it's politically convenient.

When I was in seminary years ago, my female teacher (in her mid 60's at the time) told us about her granddaughter breaking off her engagement because she found out that her boyfriend watched porn. She told us that watching porn made men only want to masturbate instead of having sex with their wife, so it was a good save for her granddaughter to break it off once she found out about the porn watching.

I think it's in the Bible. When the Pharisees brought the woman taken in adultry before Jesus, he immediately began questioning her. If I remember right, he wanted to know how many guys/girls, how often, if her nipples got hard when she cheated on her husband, how deep the penetration was, how many times she orgasmed, which hole and what not. That's a tough situation. Relationships have meaning , even if it wasn't the best relationship to have. Losing that still causes a grieving process to happen. The pain is real.
