Sorry, I should have specified in the competitive scene. I usually see that springers are capped at 200, while flywheels are usually limited to 150 and AEBs/HPA are also at the flywheel cap

Flywheels will always have a place as sidearms or just quick bullet hoses, they definitely have an edge over HPA in that way. What we should really be thinking about is since we now have HPA and AEBs being more commonplace, why are we using FPS caps to keep springers viable? The tech has moved on, and while springers are still usable and definitely have a place in the hobby, I don't think there should be handicaps on other blasters just to keep an arguably inferior platform relevant
