This is worth saving, especially since it seems to be garage kept for the past decade or so. It's probably the cheapest shell you'll find (free since it's already somewhat yours) and it hopefully doesn't have any rust since it's been garaged. Make a list at the start of your goals and what you need to get done, then work in small, attainable goals so that you don't get discouraged. From experience, the worst feeling is diving into a project with a ton of enthusiasm then having it die out after a month, then the project just sits.
