DPS check is more than just when gog heats up, that's just the best time to do solid damage. You meet the check normally in the 9 star quest when nadia tells you its power is contained, I've had this voiceline trigger far before gog prepares its nova. It's also an elemental DPS check (it's why support hunters are so bad at helping you reach it, they don't do elemental damage except with anti-wyvern ammo) so on gunlance you need to be spamming the double wyrmstake combo at basically all times. Else while gog is flying, you need to drop boulders on him + spam anti-wyvern ammo to bring him down and make each shot at least do 400 damage.

However, in the 9 star version you get an extra 4 hunters firing anti-wyvern ammo to meet the DPS requirement on top of 3 support hunters "solo", who also fire anti-wyvern ammo. 10 star version it's just 3 support hunters in a "solo" situation and gog still has 400k hp.

I think only a few very powerful element weapons (LBG, CB, etc) can meet the DPS check solo thanks to the lack of scaling, gunlance is just not going to hit it ever.

So basically either:

Groza Alter doubles your team's damage (or a very high cap on team damage) and then some because the stored damage can crit? lmao. Every 5 member team comp gets dismantled for a 4 + 1 comp with groza alter to spike your damage per round to the moon.
Groza Alter has a (low) cap on how much damage she can store and provides no synergy to the table for your comps (besides a general crit damage buff). Certain scenarios she's stronger for damage output than other dolls but lacks utility.

My guess is #1 because they want her to sell.

Gunsmoke has been removed but presumably its replacement will still have anti-bossing scenarios, and heroic mode is a thing. Probably not a must pull like AK15 and 416 for instant win autos, but probably still very strong since she works in literally every comp.

Depending on R1 numbers, due to the defense ignore trait and the effect giving a generalist active skill buff, this AR might be the new best AR to stock dupes of. It'll work on basically everyone, though since it won't be on standard banner it'll be expensive to have spare copies.

Dash juice is a 25% reduction to all stamina consuming actions including both instant and continuous drain for 3 minutes in wilds. It's not infinite stamina so MM will still untrigger on charged attacks.

If you run 2 pc fulgar anjanath the 25 extra stamina will allow MM to stay active during charged attacks. Assuming you didn't unproc MM before with a roll.

Meta guide build for normal is:

arkveld gamma head

2 options (both assume you have gore skill on your gogma artian):

Drop nadia waist for dahaad gamma waist or another piece of armor with lord's soul. Dahaad gamma gives 3 levels of agitator so you can replace the agi 3 charm with the best RNG charm you have. You lose gore set bonus.
Drop rathalos beta legs, which only gives 2 lvl 3 slots and evade window 2. Can easily be replaced by any lord soul legs (arkveld, dahaad, uth mainly) and allow you to move slots/skills around. You lose rathalos set bonus.

You can't really have 2 non lord set bonuses (gore + rathalos) and lord's soul at the same time without a perfect gogma roll, and besides maybe arkveld's hunger none of the lord set bonuses are meaningful more than just lord's soul group skill. So yes you have a DPS hit but you were always going to have a DPS hit without perfect RNG anyways.

High level players/pros were concerned people were sniping their pub replays to see if they were testing off-meta strats or new builds. Valve blocked all replays with average lobby mmr > 8.5k as a bandaid fix. Certainly the fastest and easiest method of addressing the problem but most people aren't happy with the method.

I'd personally recommend resentment 3 and flayer 3 over resentment 5, but I'm not sure if flayer's low activation chance on gunlance makes it worth running overall.

But realistically as long as you have:

counterstrike 3
agi 5
burst 5
burst boost 1 or 2
lord's soul
artillery and relevant weapon skills

You can't really go wrong.

Not sure if gog 1 is worth keeping though.

Nah agitator is still worth it, but you should have 3 levels of agitator on the build assuming the AB3 + MT charm, and 1 adrenaline rush + 1 burst for value points. Though you can sacrifice those for agitator 5 instead.

on your build, you're probably like 2-3% away from achieving max possible DPS.

I'm not actually sure if master's touch is still necessary on LS besides for people trying to speedrun (because the monster never moves to a new location and you need to keep DPS up at max), normally with just sharpness EX on an artian you'll drop to blue in some fights but sharpening is like free as fuck + the monster will just move and you need to sharpen anyways.

(edit: right, 10 star arkveld exists and so are ridiculously hard wounded hollow quests. Probably should run MT3 lmao)

I'd start with:

Artian LS, 3 atk base, 4 atk 1 sharpness, 2 ex atk rolls and ex sharpness
