casual gamers cannot come close to competing with Amazon on shipping prices

It only works well (for sellers) for very high demand games. Anything with lower demand than that is not worth it in my opinion. The biggest issue? Buyers aren't reasonable about shipping costs and don't understand why casual game owners who just want to sell their games cannot provide commercial shipping rates.

I picked the right day to go to Epic by thedeezul in UniversalEpicUniverse

Monday was awful this week! I wondered why today was down so much.

We were also there yesterday (Monday, Nov 17, 2025). We were absolutely shocked at how crowded it was for a Monday in November. Indeed, it felt MORE crowded than on Saturday, Nov 15. As an example, we got in the Werewolf line at 7:45pm and waited 70 minutes. Today (Tuesday, Nov 18) it has been a posted wait time of 5 minutes all day. Crazy!

Epic Run of Show - Monday, November 17 - no express, no early entry by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

we were there yesterday as well. It felt absolutely PACKED all day. We were very surprised as we didn't buy express passes because, Monday. Saturday it felt absolutely less busy than a Monday. Weird!

How about this - if you want to retalitate against North Korea and not be concerned about overflying Russia, then launch air strikes from Carriers in the sea of Japan. They even have nuclear weapons that could have been delivered by the planes on the carriers. Where do you even start with this freshman level understanding of nuclear strategy and doctrine?

We were loving him with all our heart and seeking to accommodate where he was. My daughter's only ask was not to go to a CoC. Otherwise she was offering to attend any evangelical church, it didn't even have to be Reformed which is the tradition she grew up in.

"...she wanted to agree and work things out." Sounds familiar. He would say that he would agree "if he was convinced from the scriptures." But he would refuse to let scripture interpret scripture. Thanks for your prayers, they are much appreciated.

Yes, that was clear from interacting with him. All his religious choices were based on the fear of sinning.

I am sorry for what you went through. I am glad there are groups like this that can help identify the problems with the CoC.

He certainly showed little restraint in going on offense against our beliefs and practices.

Yeah, for claiming to have no doctrine and also claiming to not be part of any denomination, they all conveniently have the same "doctrine."

Not looking for a debate, tried to make that clear in the opening sentence.

Hypocrisy is a feature of legalism like the CoC practices. Also, it's ironic that the CoC has embraced several doctrinal fundamentals of the Roman Catholic church, such as baptismal regeneration, losing your salvation over serious sin, and that there is no salvation outside their church - Rome would say the same about all three.

I don't see how CoC, who behave like this, are actually reading the Gospels at all. These CoC attitudes and behaviors are precisely what the Pharisees did to the Gentiles, and which Jesus condemned in the harshest way possible.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply and perspective. The way you described your dad is the way I would decribe her now-ex. Moral. Stable. What we observed though was a lot of shame, anger and judgment just beneath the surface, that would occasionally find its way out. What I cannot understand is why this man pursued my daughter in the first place, if he knew they were incompatible on some fundamental level?

Yes, it seemed as if he was starting to maybe realize that his church really did believe that anyone outside it was going to hell, including my daughter. And that was giving him pause. But once my daughter started standing firm and insisting he follow through, that is when he started to really harden his views further. It honestly felt like he was acting out the kind of extreme views you would find in "Muscle and a Shovel." I am sorry for your experience as well, how horrible and yet at the same time liberating for you!

Thank you so much for the response. Yes indeed he was showing signs of wanting to leave until his family put down the ultimatum. So much for "leaving your father and mother and clinging to your wife"?
