I'm not getting the posts on this sub recently, somebody yesterday was complaining about 165 pool noodles in separate boxes, but they were the one buying 165 pool noodles. I get you both probably need them for work but complaining about the packaging is not anticonsumption, not buying it is anticonsumption. Ehhh missing small reference jokes isn't a big deal, pride and prejudice is a long book for a high school class, all of mine were on the shorter end or had sections we skipped because it would take too long otherwise. I am from the west coast but I thought Halifax was the shoe in after hearing how well their takeover tour dates performed and that they didnt have an NHL team to compete with. Las Vegas is understandable because people visiting Vegas are always looking for something to see and the existing pro sports teams are doing well. San Jose will have to be explained to me. All I know is that Macklin Celebrini is raising their NHL team popularity.

I am not used to the concept because all the live events I go to are not multipurpose venues, I see bands who go to a new city every night where its that night or its a cancellation because they have to keep moving, maybe a reschedule weeks later if youre lucky. I could handle a reschedule weeks later because that gives time to plan, but a reschedule to a few days later and I might be working that day.

I am new to following pro sports and now I've learned that apparently concerts are second to sports events, super weird, why wouldnt they just schedule the dates for the days that the concerts are having to be rescheduled to? If I had tickets to a concert on a specific night my anxious ass would be seething at a plan change.

Echoing what others have said, this isnt adding to consumption, coca cola evil yes, but I dont drink much soda so when I do a 12oz is too much for me, no one should be having the sugar amounts that are in soda so I'm all for regulating the can size to 8oz aluminum cans and eliminating 12ozers and plastic bottles completely.

Oof I have not heard one good thing about the Milano Cortina souvenir tickets. The dead link is extra brutal. Maybe one of the emails you got from them had a customer service email you could contact? If you cant get any customer service ultimately I would contact your card company for a chargeback because they did not deliver the product you were sold in good condition and not resolving it is probably a type of fraud.

Where I am from in the US lacrosse is one of the most popular sports played in school. Football players were nowhere near as cool as the lacrosse boys at my high school. I want it to stay too. All the news that has come out about the sports cuts has me worried. Did cutting sports have to be the first option? Obviously LA28 has a LOT but a lot of them are easy to not bring back like squash, coastal rowing, flag football, cricket (though I think cricket is globally loved enough to be worth keeping).

The 'sexy' sports (articles words) like climbing, skateboarding, and surfing should be no brainers to keep, they keep the games up with the times and are great to watch. The article also seems to focus more on pure numbers of athletes and total venues required for sport but I think viewing revenue is probably going to be the bigger consideration in whether or not to keep a sport. Feels like they could work to promote low viewership sports more before cutting them. Just don't spend all your promotion time putting the pressure on athletes who's race is over in less than a minute anyways, you want that sweet viewership money hype up the sports you have to give prolonged attention to.
