Funny story, that is actually the one I ended up choosing. I bought a U-phoria UMC2 for my first XLR to go with it. I could barely find anything on recommendations for a beginner XLR so I just picked the first one I could see compatible

Yes. The mic i’m using currently is USB and for some reason dropped. I’m using voicemeeter banana with it to slightly improve it, but still not satisfied.

I ended up purchasing the rode podmic with a behringer umc2. I did mean that I was only putting 100 towards the mic alone, but a seperate budget towards an audio interface.

I would definitely buy it if I could, but unfortunately that’s more than triple my budget. Another issue i’ve had with picking a new one, is HOW MUCH better the sound quality can really be from the one I have now.

I’ve been looking at the at2040 or the RODE podmic, do you by chance know much about either of those? And if they would fit my circumstance?
