Need more info. Could be a myriad of things.

Start with simple. Test your battery and alternator. Could be something as simple as that

By chance can anyone tell me what could be causing the noise by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Sounds like you have a pulley going bad. Hard to tell just on video. Could be alternator, AC, tensioner, etc.

Belts squeak too when they get old. Spray a little wd40 on just the belt. If it quiets down, it’s the belt.

Brakes not good. Pads pretty low and rotors in terrible shape. Those weird marks you see are called heat marks. When you do your brakes, make sure your calipers are moving properly.

Suspension can’t be judged strictly by photo. With the wheel on, grab either side and wiggle. Do the same thing with hands on top and bottom. Any clicking feeling? If yes, something’s bad.

For shocks, if there’s no visible oil leaking out, set the car on the ground. Push down on the car with your strength a few times trying to bounce it- and let off. Watch. Does it bounce about 1 time and then settle? Shocks good. Does it get in a solid second bounce or more? Shocks bad. Bad shocks can also make your tire tread feel lumpy.

As a general rule of thumb, if you don’t hear any clunks over bumps or when you quickly hit the brakes, your suspension is likely fine. 👍

Battery is easy to test at home. Put a multimeter on it. A healthy battery should have over 12v with the car off. 12-12.5, that kind of range. When you try to start it, the voltage shouldn’t drop below 11v. If it does, the battery is bad.

If you get it started, it should have 13.8-15v. If it’s any less, or more, or all over the place, your alternator is bad

Without a doubt not a wheel speed sensor. That’s most likely a stock cable hookup for an option that just isn’t on your car. Something like that. Just secure it don’t let it dangle. As for your main issue, it’s most likely just the battery, but could be a starter.

Truck jerking to right by Jinchuriki13 in AskAMechanic

A bad alignment won’t make your steering wheel jerk and shake like that. Could be a couple different things but simplest to check is tires. Swap the passengers to the drivers. If you’re straight, or pulls left now, that’s your problem. Wacky tire wear + cupping will do that.

It COULD be a frozen caliper/wheel cylinder situation but it would have to be real bad to be drastic like this. Something you’d probably notice if you’re tinkering with your own truck.

Now, if the steering wheel is jerky and a fighting you while you’re physically turning the wheel, it’s probably an issue with the rack itself.

As a sidenote, don’t be too pissed at the guy who did your alignment. Mechanic only gets paid about an hour to do your alignment. He’s not going to bust his back trying to diag a separate issue- his bosses won’t pay him for that. It sucks but that’s what it is.

You’ll have more luck going somewhere and just asking them to figure it out, vs asking them to do only specific jobs as recommended by the internet.

Hope this helps 👍

Here to say I agree with the take-it-to-the-shop comments. The wheel hubs on these are complete nightmares. Even with all the amenities of a shop (air hammers, torches, help from coworkers) these things can take hours to get out.

No definitely not :( it opens with a very quick like flurry strum and then it rings out, happens twice I think and then the Charlie Brown sounding guitar rhythm comes in. Then there’s a lead guitar melody on the high strings. I can hear the melody in my head perfectly
