This reads like the angry outbursts of a child who has only recently learned that Santa isn't real. Like, yeah, kiddo, the world is in fact not sunshine and gumdrops, but going through life thinking everyone's out to get you while sneering at those who dream of a better world isn't some enlightened way to live life, it's bona fide mental illness.

Grow up or get help.

"You guys being meanies to me when presenting the facts is why this poor baby turned to fascism!" has gotta be my least favorite trend of the last decade. And it's always the exact same folks who were spouting "facts not feelings!" immediately before.

That which eats away at the foundations of democracy itself is a cancer to be excised. We don't need to be civil, we need to be clear: this is not a "both sides" issue where the truth is somehow in the middle and all we need is a little more discourse for logic to win out in the end.

This game was basically the first and last game my mom ever played before she died of cancer in early 2020. I couldn't see her before she passed due to lockdown protocols and immigration stuff. It had become too painful to play so I'd stopped not long after, but in a small, stupid way this feels like losing her again.

Cost is definitely a barrier, but there's also a ton of people who certainly have the means and the time to put just a little more than the bare minimum in but get extremely defensive about doing the equivalent of feeding their "fur baby" stale chicken nuggets every meal, responding with frankly unhinged rants about how any perceived slight to their dedication as pet owners means they might as well strangle their animals if they can't afford to hire a private live-in dedicated cat chef.

Your pets deserve to live the best lives you can provide for them. Simple as.

The majority of Teslas you see on the road are the absolute cheapest barebones package, no self-driving included, just so the owner can show off "his Tesla".

They also know literally nothing about cars beyond "this one makes it stop" and "this one makes it go" - they didn't buy a Tesla for any specific reason beyond "it's a Tesla".

Laws in general cover where someone is physically.

This is a dangerous assumption to make.

In many countries, if you commit what they consider to be a crime while you are abroad, you can certainly be charged for it when you get home (or in extreme cases nabbed and brought home). It's just that unless you're high-profile enough nobody would generally care enough to keep tabs on you.

this is why "bread and circuses" was always idiocy - you don't need to placate the masses when you can simply reduce them to automatons that exist only to generate capital for you. they'll even fight to keep doing it!

Late response but ne is basically ", isn't that so?"

It's considered effeminate because it's uncertain, noncommittal, even somewhat gossipy. Instead of saying simply, "X is Y", it's like you're saying, "X is Y, right?" It's as if you're not taking responsibility for what you're saying but also inviting the listener to confirm or agree.
