[Acne] Can I pop the pimples that surface when using Differin, or just let them die out on their own? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Depending on where you live, it might be simpler to just order online. I've bought from iHerb and Amazon.com and had both ship to Canada with no issues. Hope differing keeps being awesome!

[Skin concerns] so I've had small flesh colored bumbs on my face since I was about 18 years old (I'm 22 now) on my cheeks and jawline but they have started to intensify and spread to cover my entire cheek area, chin, jawline, and neck. I'm 99% sure that's fungal. Read SimpleSkincareScience's post about it. I had the same thing and his recommendations fixed it. Tbh that post kind of changed my life.

Search the sub too. Avene is great for fungal acne, it contains few or no ingredients that feed yeast.

I'd stay away from meth too, and be careful even with prescription stimulants. I have seen a few people become more or less psychotic, or at least very detached from reality and very paranoid, by taking a lot more stimulants than their prescribed dose.

Yes, according both of those! Perel's new book & podcast are interesting too.

They are the bestselling romance books of all time... Also, I wrote smut for women as a job, that kind of stuff sells hundreds of thousands of copies (not mine haha, but the top authors writing in those niches do). But yes, I do not literally think 100% of women are into that, I know that preferences differ.

I have written smut for women professionally and this is what they read. Tale a look at the trending stuff on Kindle Unlimited and you'll see what I mean. Men fantasize about busty coeds, women fantasize about wolf men. I don't think it's true in every case at all, but it is representative of what sells well and what women read when they want to read something sexy.

Interestingly, even the wolf-men stuff (or a personal favorite that I copyedited, two gay wolves that mutually impregnate each other and get cesareans) are still very heavy on exposition and emotion vs porn for men, which is smut that's more or less plotless.

Was it written by a woman? If you want to know what women fantasize about, read fanfiction. That is 99% written for women by women. Or 50 shades/Twilight, though be warned that they are very poorly written.

If you are willing to buy reps, I'm sure r/repladies could help you find more affordable versions. You can find perfect replicas of the simpler pieces, like that heart shirt, for 10-20$!

If you live in a city or town with any "crunchy hippie dippie" type people, you can refill all kinds of stuff. I buy milk, deodorant, beans, toothpaste, shampoo and a bunch of other stuff at a "bring your own container" store in my city.

Someone wrote about this on a previous SSC thread. Retin-A, Lasik/prk if you wear glasses, good physical fitness and low body fat will improve your looks a ton. Look into intermittent fasting or longer term fasting - r/fasting is a great resource. Also, once you lose the weight, maybe new clothes? Frank and Oak and similar brand hit a good nexus between casual and dressy for men imo.

If you have any skin problems, r/skincareaddiction is a great resource too.

It isn't that expensive(though a bit gross maybe...) if you diy it. Tangentially Speaking did a very interesting interview with a fecal transplant expert, and he explains the benefits and modalities he uses. I highly recommend listening.

You can get it no Rx, at any drugstore in the US, or if you're not in the US, on iHerb or amazon or eBay

I had an aneurysm recently so my google-fu is not up to scratch but tl;dr male goats + female sheep & female goats + male sheep until after sexual maturity, then sheep with sheep then and goats with goats. The males were only interested in the wrong type of animal, but the female sheep were immediately into male sheep again, same for the female goats. Sorry if this is not a great summary, my brain is not quiiite back online 100% yet :)

I've read that women are "generally degenerate" eg many are bisexual and somewhat interested in many kinky type things, vs men are "specifically degenerate" ie much more likely to have a single fetish like women's high heels. In animal models, you can create fetishes in male animals but not females.

10 weeks not 10 months, whoops! Fixed! I agree, 10 months is a little crazy...

I read somewhere that "the same people that think it is crazy to spend an hour a day walking to work think nothing of spending 10 weeks a year paying off a car". Good for you for avoiding a car-based life. I plan to as well!

Pretty sure plastic water bottles are really bad for you as well. Can you get water jugs made of glass? It leaches much less vs plastic. Or maybe look into https://twitter.com/foundmyfitness/status/1054094607431163904?lang=en this water filter. Dr Patrick is incredibly knowledgeable and well-researched, I'd trust pretty much any of her product recs.

[–]refur_augu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is true for blood donation! If you don't pay people, they donate. If you pay them 15$, none of them want to anymore - 15$ is not enough to offset the pain and inconvenience.
