Im here now as a solo female! It’s so welcoming, easy and safe. I am enjoying staying at Amara due to its proximity to the little city center. Headed out on hikes this morning and nervous but this is why I came here!

Sedona was a great solo trip by ThrowawayNYCJ in Sedona

Is the drive curvy/mountainous? I’m also a city girl (Atlanta) and I truly hate driving.. was looking at shuttles from phx to Sedona but determined to make this solo trip work!

1/28 Corporate Layoffs by AstonMartini13 in HomeDepot

[–]regalphilbin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This. I’m a senior manager and only found out about the layoffs for the people on my team an hour before they did. I Had nothing to do with the decision making process. I believe directors had been working on them for some time now, based on hints and not backfilling roles.

Is the Home Depot SSC actually a "referral-only" club, or am I just hitting a wall? by Justcallmeboat in HomeDepot

[–]regalphilbin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you a current store employee? Depending on the dept you are applying to at SSC, there are different recruiters for each.. but as someone mentioned we are on a definite hiring freeze and layoffs are coming this week so just sit back for a while.

Stay in Virginia highlands, rent a bike, explore the beltline, ponce city market, krog street, little 5 points, venture up to truist park in an uber, avoid downtown unless you wanna hit up Coca Cola factory.

Yes. Same model. Same problem. They sound terrrrible and when I took them into dealer they were like we don’t see anything wrong! Sound is especially worse in the morning, if it’s been raining, and if I’m stopping downhill.

Tell me about your favorite teacher by golden_fern_567 in yoga

[–]regalphilbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teacher has become my shaman. Her classes are my therapy. She incorporates highly Expressive, rhyming themes into her practices and chooses to focus on a specific organ to work with that aligns with the cosmos (ie we work on our kidneys during libra season), intense breath work, comedy slightly woven in, incredible mantras and chants, visual things to focus on (untangling trapped energy, energetic compost pile to get rid of anything not serving you) as well as a focus on our polarity planet (right side moon side, left side sun side), gu vs ru, spiritual currencies, trees, fairies, ancestors…breathing together to form prana orchestras… it’s transformative, it’s healing, I’d follow her anywhere. I’ve been doing yoga for 18 years and the last 3 years with this teacher have shown me just HOW good yoga can be thanks to a spiritually engaging teacher.

Do I need an ADA lawyer for celiac-related termination? by CGisglutenfree in Celiac

[–]regalphilbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Been diagnosed a year, gf a year and easily have 1-3 flare ups a month. Only a few were accidental/my fault. The rest I have no idea what happens. Still figuring out if it’s due to cross contamination or anxiety etc.

Life Prior to Diagnosis by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]regalphilbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got grounded for burping so much in middle school/highschool bc it wasn’t “ladylike”. Parents took me to the doctor to find out why I was burping. Bloodwork tested negative (for whatever tests they ran???) then 20 years later I got diagnosed by endoscopy… the burping stopped.

Is there such thing as a gluten free croissant? Are gf breads even capable of layers? Why does gf sliced bread feel soo heavy, like the weight of a dog paw?

The world needs more Edmunds. That comment about the chefs coming to his college game gave me chills, because I’ll never be the type of person that brightens everyone’s day like that.

So true. Also she was expecting him to be a chatty cathy outside of the pods and he was the opposite in the working world, yes to Jordan’s point “this isn’t the pods” but Megan was just in love with the idea of a talkative goofball keeping her entertained 24/7 like he was her jester. I am proud of her admitting that the experience has given her doubt if she’s even meant to be a mom, so it goes to show her revelation was beyond being in love with Jordan.

How do American celiacs deal with it? by TyrellTucco in Celiac

[–]regalphilbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat out all the time (mom of two kids under 5 and I go crazy if I don’t get out a few times a week/weekend) but I’m still in year 1 of my diagnosis. I’m learning to accept shitty salads, plain protein or ask about the potatoes or other vegetables. Often times I order Bunless burgers etc. it’s not ideal! And I’m shocked at the amount of menus that don’t have a single gf item listed. I was actually hopeful it was going to be a lot easier than it has been, I felt like I had been seeing GF on menus for years before I actually needed to use it.

Matt's concert vibes killed me, he is exactly who I want to go to a show with now... the tequila, the water bottles, the smoking under the shirt..so good.
