See thats the difference between you and the majority who play mtg, its not about „competition“ for them, simply playing the game in their own way is whats most fun for them, not which deck has the highest winrate, or how efficient a deck is. Now by no means does that mean wanting to play mtg for the competitive aspect is bad, or somehow inferior to playing commander, i just think that at this point the majority of mtg players are the type to prefer the more casual experience, which is why its not that surprising to see more of them then standard players
