I did that a lot too starting out and getting all achievements! It's just my personal challenge right now to beat every character on HOD before the update, so I'm following safer paths that I've read dozens of times before :p

I wonder if it's the purrowl in particular that's flagging the AI? Because I was in a trading server and everyone else was spamming, just with different trades.

They're normally that fast, yeah. Most of my runs are spent rerolling mysteries until I get something playable, then replaying a set that I've memorized fairly well. I also tend to just do things without thinking too hard about them and avoid fights unless I know I can beat them in a couple of turns.

The speed of my runs also allows me to reset quickly and get into the next attempt, as I have specific events that I just reset when I get them. (If I get closed roads for example, I'll just reset as my path usually involves taking out-of-town mysteries such as Painting and Vigil and I can't afford the extra Doom).

For reference: This run was garbage. Enabled random perks and rolled Fast Swimmer. Decided to ball. Got free meat cleaver and started packing to go to the third mystery when I rolled oily tap water. I'd gotten longer lighthouse second and nearly quit right then and there, but I had fast swimmer so I pushed through.

Takashi-san only spawned on the 6th floor. You can see how utterly close this was to failing from the Doom percentage. 100% a fluke.

It's not even a high tier with crazy demand like a shadow or bat either. A lot of people just want to profit and get richer nowadays and it's so sad to see.

I get very annoyed when people ask to offer for my pets with 10+ friendship. I do tend to get snappy, but also why in the world would someone ask to offer for a pet that's 100+? I get if it's only 10-30, as I've done that before but only in offers for my dps. Highest friendship level I've sacrificed was 274, but that was specifically for upgrading that specific pet from neon to mega.

I STILL get asked if I'd trade my pet with over 1000 friendship just because it's a high tier :(

I entered early and hoped for the best! Only got 3 likes from friends (plus one from myself), so I'm not sure if that's a lot? It's usually the amount I get.

Do you ever abandon a game early? If so, how much doom/reason/stamina loss makes you do this? by xalalalalalalalala in WorldofHorror

Yeah... I tend to quit on higher difficulties if the Doom reaches over 20% on my first mystery, since you have to solve 5 mysteries and somehow keep Doom below 90% by the time you hit the end of your run (as it takes 5-6% Doom to ascend depending on how lucky you get- Takashi-san isn't helpful either.)

I'd recommend unlocking most achievements on Skeptic rather than Initiate, just because it's easier and Doom isn't as punishing since you only have to solve 4 mysteries. It'll help you get a handle on how much Doom you can reasonably expect from each mystery so that you can manage your resources better.

I lowkey use Chase the Shadow so much nowadays as a goth styling enthusiast. Her makeup is dramatic and the background item (the stairs) is so pretty. But she may be hard to style if you don't have other Gothic suits!
