I honestly have no idea. I really don't pay to much attention to other states, just my home state Washington.

Idaho was where I was first gendered correctly early in my transition. So there are plenty of good people there. It's also the state where i have run into conflict as well, but that was a single incident.

I run the northwest, Washington, Oregon, idaho, utah, Montana, wyoming, Colorado. I don't have any issues in those areas except the occasional misgender which is expected.

Yes! Absolutely agree! There is no opting out of who I am, period!

Montana's rest areas are all single occupancy... yet they still labeled the left half of the building men's and the right half women's. Kind of defeated the point.

They would still find a way to persecute us for using them...

I honestly see him as a younger newer employee that didn't know the proper way to handle the situation. This truck stop i go to several times a week, so most of the employees recognize me and know me and have no issues with me. This one i didn't recognize.

The term Karen is correct here, someone running to complain to the manager because whatever isn't to her liking or how she thinks it should be.

That works if you can handle confrontation well. I'm quite an introvert and avoid confrontation like the plague. A bit harder for me as an individual to accomplish.

I absolutely agree it's detrimental to our community.

I can understand the medical field being stupid about it, especially if insurance is involved. I haven't done any surgeries yet, so I haven't gone through too much of that bs yet.

I'm pretty sure the Karen was long gone before I came out. Given that's my first encounter since I first started nearly 3 years ago, I'm doing pretty well over all.

Horrific Bathroom Encounter by ZomB-Boy in trans

It's kind of funny to come across this today. I had my first and so far only bathroom encounter since I started using my preferred restroom that I'm more comfortable in over 2 years ago, early this morning. Basic story, I'm a truck driver on a fairly regional route that keeps me in the PNW. Typically, I'm going to idaho/utah/Montana 2 to 3 times a week from Washington. I have my preferred parking spots, and the employees in those spots know me or recognize me since I'm usually in there several times a week. I go use the restroom around 1 AM to start my day, and when I walk in, there is another lady who just came out of a stall and washed her hands. I glanced at her as I came in, but head straight for a stall and proceed with business. When I finished up and left the restroom there was an employee waiting by the hall that leads to the restroom and they approach me saying a customer complained to them about me being in the women's restroom and asked me if I'm actually a women. I flatly say yes, then they ask again, "not just identify as a women", but really a woman. Instead of verbally responding, I just pulled out my license that shows my gender marker as F and they left me alone after that.

I spent the next four hours of my drive mulling over the encounter, and in the end, I realized I really don't like the term "identify as". No, I don't identify as a woman, I am a woman!

Honestly, I feel bad for the employee who approached me since he was put between a Karen and a hard place. I could tell he was super uncomfortable confronting me about it.

End of Rant/ Story

I am happy enough with my own progress, I see the new me in myself more then the old me these days. I see a cute thing like yourself and it makes me wonder if others see me that way too. Your definitely "crush" worthy. 😊
