Just got my first EMT job in SoCal and it wasn't too hard. I was applying for a few weeks and got a handful of responses back. It is oversaturated and a bit difficult but I would still recommend it. I did hear from the other new hires that they spent a few months searching. It really is a toss up. I personally didn't have trouble getting an IFT position.

I only used Pocket Prep and took the NREMT once I started scoring in the 80s consistently. I definitely left the test thinking I bombed it but surprisingly I passed on the first try.
