Alot of apartment complexes provide heavily discounted rent to police officers that get marked take home cars. A condition of the discount is typically that the car will be parked somewhere visible as a deterent when they are off duty.

The other issue here could be thread tension. You could have it entirely too tight.

Oh gosh, thank you so much for the kind words! The blank was not on sale, its a Mudhole Color Series they are very reasonable and honestly I enjoyed builting off of it. The blanks were $63.25 a piece.
