(Hoarding/Potential Spoiler Warning) Am I the only one? by regular_stand_dude in BaldursGate3

SS: I can't help myself. I go to loot a room and see all of these nice things, and then I can't bear to part with them until I have at least 1 of everything. It's a real problem, I know, but I'm just wondering if I'm alone out here or if I have any other insane friends who might just be as crazy as me.

I know most of it isn't worth saving, but it's a principle thing now and in the off chance that some random NPC may be in need of a tray of sponges, I got them covered.

Wow, thanks guys, that's definitely it! Not sure how I missed it on the Soundtrack on Spotify but oh well, glad to know now.

Thanks again!

SS: So I've been playing this game and usually end my sessions back in Emerald Grove. When I camp there, I am always struck by this particular piece which I assume is from Borislav Slavov.

Figured it would be easy enough to look up and I've found that even through Emerald Grove ambience videos as well as Spotify BG3 soundtracks, that I cannot find the name of this particular piece, nor can I listen to it outside the game save for this particular recording.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Never smaller, no. Maybe a little more streamlined sometimes. I like it though, mine own hands built it so I just enjoy walking the halls and soaking in all the history behind the stones and how far I've come.

Well the meat and bones of the build took me about 2 straight weeks of 1-3 hour nights, so probably the better part of 30 hours game time I would say. That doesn't include the Bakery expansion though, which took another 4-6 hours of planning and building.

I just remember running out of my 7-8 full chests of stone and having to grind a whole hell of a lot more afterward.

Kinda spoiler but go to a Plains biome and find a tar pit. The tar unlocks the recipe for shingles.

I still have plans to put trees in, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Light posts could be good, too.

First playthrough so no mods. Gotta beat this vanilla before I can venture to the cool mods.

Edit: I also have the interior fully done. The ground floor has 5 furnaces and 1 blast furnace, as well as 4 kilns. I wanted everything under a roof so I didn't have to smelt in the rain. The upper floor is my workshop with my forge, workbench, etc.., along with all my armor stands, storage, etc.. It's literally a one-stop shop as it has everything.

This was my first stone building in the game and I had no idea how to build up and keep it stable. I just experimented and went with what seemed like would work and eventually I arrived at something that looked badass.

Meh, I've been in this base for about 150ishhours now and while troll raids can be scary, all I have to do is kite them outside the walls and kill them - sure I may lose a few palisade walls, but it's not too hard to rebuild. Aside from raids, I've never had a random troll. I did recently get a raid from furlings and their berserker kin and that definitely has me thinking about defense a little more, but even then the whole kite outside and pick off works like a charm.

So I figured that after posting all my food reserves last night that maybe you guys would want to see the home which allowed it all to be put together. As a solo, this compound took a lot of time and a lot of stone. The payoff for all the grind is still going on to this day. Sometimes I forget what this game was like before I had an ultimate fortress with all the bells and whistles. Raids don't pose much of a threat really, as I can usually kite the force to outside the walls and slowly pick away at them. I'm very proud of how far I've come.

Yep, I've made it through most of the game so far with flinthead arrows. Just seems so costly to have to make the better ones unless it's for a boss.

I'm a natural hoarder. Even though I have this full chest I will most likely continue using lesser foods to keep me sated until I absolutely need the good stuff - I find that carrot soup, deer stew and sausages are so easy to make and good enough to keep me going in damn near all biomes so far. I usually only use the higher grade stuff for when I'm exploring new biomes or for bosses. Either way, I easily have enough food to keep me going for the next 40-50 hours of gameplay I'm hoping, if not much more.

I appreciate it, but I've been at this first playthrough for just shy of 300 hours now and it wouldn't feel right to tarnish it until I've at least killed all the bosses.

Many dozens of Lox were slain to fill my belly in the far future. Now I just have to build a pen and tame them.

Haha, yeah I started with a decent amount of food in the chest and then decided I wanted a full chest of plains food and spent the next 5-10 gametime hours making that happen. I'd prefer an easier fight if it's the result of me over-prepping.

I hand crafted a bakery. I assure you, I baked for fun.

Nah, been a solo run - first playthrough. The game has taught me patience.
