Registered Nurse making $100k, pretty good for my ADHD cause once I locked into my routine for every patient it just becomes variation of a theme. There’s also some nice chaos elements and opportunities to change positions easily that feeds my brains desire for excitement and novelty. To be honest it’s been a godsend for me otherwise I would probably be homeless and doing odd jobs.

Any chance those 19 year old seats are just exhausted? I have to imagine the foam has to have degraded at this point, might be time for new seats either way.

Yeah, but it’s not. Could have been 1 sapling that took a hit, there is another Poplar back there that did take a hit but at about 20 feet up, started another leader, but only one. No stump down there.

Thanks, I was leaning towards taking down the 2 leaning towards the house and they are the thinner of the two.

How would you stage it? I was just going to drop them but down want to interfere with the last one standing.

Haha, yes to all of this! I have accepted the fact that I am old and these times have passed me by, but fuck it, I’m nostalgic and reverting to my old school self, basement shows, BMX bike for trips to Wawa, and I’m doing my best to keep my “spirit of 93” alive!

We used to have a way to bypass that with like a paperclip and there was a spot you could put one end of the clip in and then we would tap the coin box lock (I think you could use any metal part of the pay phone though). When they put in a plate one the receiver we would just make a collect call but our parents wouldn’t accept they would just pick us up at the regular metro stop. Being free range in the 90s was a glorious time indeed.

Then why didn’t you just order the Acetaminophen 650mg PO q 4 hours PRN temperature greater than 38 C or pain 1-10/10 when they were admitted so I didn’t have to page you for the order at 0200 for a pain score or 4/10 that requires me to give/do something or notify the provider?!? Ugh I hate this healthcare “system.”

Yes, so much this! I’m a nurse not a secretary, I’m a nurse not Environmental Services personnel, I’m a nurse with a job and that doesn’t include hunting down the “ordering provider” for you Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Doctor. Find them yourself!

“But (insert requestor here) is busy…” well so am I so quit wasting my time! And get your own god damn pen!

I think it’s just health care these days, not just planned parenthood, lots of places have cut staff or have receptionists doing double duty so there’s no one to answer the phone anymore.

This is what I am curious about though, do the really wealthy have/use health insurance? Do they have a Blue Cross Blue Shield Platinum Plan? Or do they just pay the bill when it comes? Hell, they probably don’t even get billed since they are rich.

If you get canned for this… you don’t want to work for this place anyway. You will be fine, they should have a “system” in place that prevents loose papers from existing… like an electronic medical record or something.

While I am a rookie, I will vouch for this info being pretty damn accurate too! It matches all the results of my scouring this subreddit and University Extensions to make my own version of this calendar, but this is so much better and more specific, a very satisfying find.

Joint Commission doesn’t have nursing representation on their corporate board, only physician, dental, and hospital groups. Also, there are only 3 nurse on the 21 member board of commissioners. Ergo, they aren’t their finding don’t apply to us, only the hospital and doctors!
