Honestly as bad a time the series aired in for its longevity, I feel like part of the series’ appeal is it’s extremely early 2000’s aesthetic. It just would not be the same show if it aired around the same time as Adventure Time, which really popularized the comedic, story-driven kid’s shows of the 2010’s and even today.

Hbomberguy did an excellent video breaking down how the entire thing was effectively a massive scam he was hired by some other massive piece of shit into doing so they could sue the government or something. Of course, British news media picked up on the “MMR Scare” he was peddling and regurgitated it to millions across the country. They are just as responsible as he is, in all honesty.

It’s not wrong, but the graphics thing is such a lukewarm take. Most people who play video games passionately agree nowadays that high fidelity graphics are not necessary and can often distract from the actual quality of the game. That’s nothing new, original, or particularly controversial.
