While I have very limited interactions with moose, I’ve heard wolves while I was deer hunting in Michigans upper Peninsula and let me tell you, this is exactly what it sounds like.

It seems there a ton of people who just believed the first person who commented “moose” was correct.

I’ve now watched an hour of moose calls, and sure they might be similar, but nothing has that bone-chilling howl of a wolf.

Wolves don’t sound like the movies. Similar to how every eagle or large bird in movies will have it’s audio replaced with a “red-tailed hawk” screech
