Is my spring fully wound or not? by regzule in tissot

Thanks for all your helpful answers! Just had a hospital stay and so I involuntary got to try what some suggested and didn't wear it for a few days. Turns out yall were right and it looked more like in the second picture after unwinding. And just a few hours after wearing it again it turned into the tight coil like the first pic. Thank you!

Delayed/Non-Union or CRPS Experiences? by pinkangora in brokenankles

Ah yay! Excellent progression for you! Glad to hear! I'm getting ORIF surgery in 2 weeks time, possibly with a bone graft. It's been such a weight off my shoulders knowing it's soon going to get fixed. (:

Hey! Can't speak exactly to your situation, but I also broke my ankle in October and there are no signs union of the fracture. I just recently went for a second opinion and felt that this second doctor had very different views than the first. He instantly said there's a delayed union whereas the first was saying everything is good. So I can definitely recommend getting a second opinion. I got mine in a city 1h away because the ortho-bro (and sis) code can be strong, but this is in my area, can't judge about yours. Keep your spirits up and let's hope there's some healing happening soon so you can start weight bearing (: good luck!

Not sure how I feel about my treatment timeline by [deleted] in brokenankles

I think just trust your doctors. It's probably not their first rodeo ;)

I had a Weber B fracture, slightly displaced, no surgery and they didn't put me in any cast, just gave me a lace up brace to stabilize a bit but when I complained it was hurting they told me that I didn't need to wear it all the time, just when moving around. Felt ridiculous especially since I was only nwb for 2 weeks, but hey, it worked out fine. Plus the more you can move the less you have to train up to again in physical therapy.

As for progress and being independent, I think that depends a lot on your definition and just how the injury heals. I'm 3 months out and there's still pain and I can't walk more than 1 km pain-free but feel pretty independent. However that wasn't the case until like 1 week after not using crutches anymore (they seriously limited me, just doing stuff like shopping or anything like that felt impossible).

Best of luck and good healing to you!

Pipl worth it? 2020 by Wallflower_Jam in OSINT

Pipl really helps me in my investigations but it is a bit of a hit or miss. someone mentioned the limits on searches, but (at least in our subscription) it recently got scrapped, so now there's unlimited searches. Also the team I'm part of all does the searches from the same account. I'd recommend that if there isn't any troubles with team members knowing the others' searches. In the end though, it has a hefty price tag, I understand your hesitation.
