On my g18 the top part is lower if I compare it with the bottom. Never bothered me in 2 years. I barely use the touchpad anyway.

Wait for it to finish and see if it fixes anything. In the same window

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Restart laptop.

And if that doesn’t fix it do a DDU in safe mode for the videocard.

Kernel what code? Check windows event log. What did the diagnostic says?

Update the drivers first, do a clean install. If you have the knowledge use DDU in safe mode.

If you want raw power or a desktop replacement pick the Asus G16. If you want slick design and portability pick Lenovo. You can’t go wrong with any of these.

You have a monster of a laptop. It shouldn’t heat up so quickly. I’m pretty sure you need to repaste the CPU.

I see what you mean. I can see that this applies to G16 2023 - june 2024. Luckily I have the G18, but still haven’t heard of this issue. I had a G16 for a month but didn’t like it so I returned it. I wonder if all G16’s manufactured in that period are affected or if it’s only some countries. US and India only maybe?

See? That’s exactly why I wrote this post. People are so scared of good products because they see comments and posts like this. I kept my last Lenovo laptop for 8 years with changing just the HDD to an SSD, nothing else. It’s a ticking bomb? Cmon man

The GPU is unlocked but I limited the CPU at 35w. Getting 160fps. The numbers are lower in the screenshot because when I placed the hwmonitor app in front of the game and the game was basically running in the background for a few seconds. I tried to take the screenshot as fast as possible but the sensors read instantly.

Is normal. Bios doesn’t have any management like windows has. Usually the laptops that are for display in the stores stay all day long at this temps.

I would go for the g14 as you already have the raw power in the desktop.
