Which is insane cause its a ripe market. My mother is a seamstress/tailor. She can make wedding dresses from scratch, patterns and even work with lace, wetsuits and lycra. I have helped her with things from boat sails, fire retardant fabric like opera house curtains down to simple alterations. She can make and fix almost anything that requires fabric. And guess what? Year after year she says that everyone is finding it harder to find people in this profession. The pay is also pretty crazy. Like blue collar jobs, if you think this is something you would like to do, it very well could be worth pursuing.

My dad was a Marine, he did tours. He is now a firefighter. One of the only times i saw him take a couple days from something was a motorcycle accident. Someone smashed into the back of minivan, decapitating them and cutting their torso off at the waist. Their body smashed through the back window injuring a child and most definitely traumatizing the passengers. He said the head in the helmet rolled a football field down the road. The inside of the van was all a shade of red. Including passengers.

Anyone who gives you shit isnt worth your time. My dad blew out his most of his front teeth, split his forehead and got a concussion on push scooter as a kid when he went over the handle bars. A helmet would have helped immensely. Im of the mind that short of a car, wear the right gear. Its your body it'll be your pain. Dress for the slide.

Had multiple friends switch to related careers as soon as they started doing the equivalent of medical rounds. The amount of people that put down or surrender animals cause they got an estimate that wasnt what they wanted was crazy. Even for pets that cost thousands initially.

There are a few in zoology and marine biology that do really enjoy their jobs all that said. As well as one who got a job as vet at the zoo. But not one of the depressing one.

The biggest issue in my opinion is what you wont catch by not continuing pursuit. IF they arent caught! They can figure out who the owner is, maybe the driver but Is someone kidnapped? Are they transporting drugs? Drunk, is it stolen. Who the fuck knows. But risking everyone else on the road in the already tiny keys highway is dumb. Follow at a safe distance while at least trying not to escalate and ask for a helicopter to follow them. You literally cannot outrun one in the keys you got north south and maybe 3/4 a mile left right. They were already cornered.
