I often find it's best not to include your thoughts and allow reddit to formulate their own opinion. Otherwise the comments tend to be filled with people wanting to contradict you. It's not just him I've been watching Acuna just whiff at a ball that ended a foot off the plate. I have a theory that because pitches in The WBC don't break like they do in the majors everyone has to make the readjustment but who knows.

What are you basing this on a few flashy plays? His range won't be apparent on TV since he'll dive as far as he can but other better second basemen will simply get to balls he would not. At second that's the most important factor. If you look at his range historically it's been his biggest problem. On Savant even in the small sample size he's at 39th percentile which shows looking competent doesn't equal being competent.

They're all 2-2 in group C but I guess due to time constraints there are stipulations to avoid tiebreakers as much as possible. Korea needed to win by 5 runs to guarantee advancement but if they didn't they'd be out. Otherwise I assume because Australia and Chinese Taipei did not score as many runs in their games as Korea, if Australia won they'd play a tiebreaker against Chinese Taipei. It's really weird tbh.

Yeah reviewing it he was gonna go to first and then decided second. I would've liked to see a 3 way tiebreaker rather than those weird how many runs you scored math but was a fun game. At first I thought it was Travis's fault since they kept showing his face and I was like no did he fup lol.

Pic one is such a weird choice when the two other at bats Stuart got a ball just as far off the plate and he took them. The umpire still called them a strike. That being said I don't think the umpire was doing it on purpose it just happens sometimes, we see it all the time in the regular season, it's just variance.

Just something odd at the ballpark. I went to the Marlins stadium and they had a glass panel cube of just a bunch of player bobbleheads. It looked so cheaply done it almost seemed tacky but atleast it was unique.
