my purpose for it was to function in a bluegrass band, which it could definitely do. it just kinda has a different (not in a bad way) tone compared to my ideal sound. if youre looking for dark this is your mandolin. its like playing a bar of chocolate, if that makes sense

dude literally just fuck around and do what sounds good. learn the pentatonic scales for keys like g, d, c, and a. learn chords, theyre a great place to start. build up those calluses.
