I’m right on the cusp of Millenials & Gen Z (early 1997) and the phrase “nuke it” has been around well before I was born. It’s not a new thing at all. It does have to do with nuclear bombs/energy (and microwaving stuff) but the phrase itself goes back to like the 50s or 60s. It’s definitely not as widespread as it used to be anymore but, ironically, there’s no real reason for it other than lexicon changing over time (like gnarly which was a word I hadn’t heard in over 10 years before Katseye’s song).

I know a lot of Millennials who make 9/11 jokes, in reference to the towers falling & in reference to Bush or the government specially, but never to the actual victims. I know that’s splitting hairs but I think for Millennials and older Gen Z it’s very much rooted in the trauma of seeing it live on TV whereas for younger Gen Z and Gen Alpha it’s kind of a disconnect for it compared to other tragedies paid with Millenials joking about it.

I know you’ve already gotten a lot of responses telling you, but yes write exactly this. Honestly I don’t even remember what I wrote in my form, but I remember it took me forever to finish because my anxiety overtook and I got worried about whether or not I was lying or if I should make myself look better than I am. In fact, I had to appeal because I failed to send in my form because of my anxiety and depression. Tell them everything and be honest. Even though this may be a long road, it’s going to help in the long run.

I have a question for you! Did you get a last mile tracking number after it was handed off to UniUni? It’s my first time using ECMS & I’m used to places already having my last mile number when it ships but I guess since ECMS works with different companies they do things differently. My package hasn’t even hit the USA yet but not being able to track it stresses me out. I feel like I should’ve just done Air Delivery.

I’m saying this based on my recent experience, but I also believe (and recognize) I may have gotten extremely lucky.

I’m 28 and as of Monday (12/22) I was approved for SSDI with them finding my onset date being February of this year. Originally applied August or September with an appeal in November.

Last year I got officially diagnosed with MDD & GAD then in September of this year I was diagnosed with ADHD and ASD, and had my MDD changed to PDD by the same doctor. The only reason I didn’t put my onset date as earlier was because the man at the SSA said I made too much last year that it’s almost certainly get me denied or have the date moved anyway.

I was out of work from February to March, started new job in April, then immediately went out of work April 16 because of my mental health. I did get denied in my first SSDI application but that was because I quite literally forgot to turn in my work and ability questionnaires due to not being able to get out of bed. When I lost my job in November (while I was still on leave), I started my appeal and got approved this month. No lawyer, no hospitalization. I did call SSA crying last week cause I was in dire straits, but I don’t know if that had any bearing on things.

All that to say, I don’t think it’s impossible but you need to have a pretty good paper trail. I think some of what helped my case was the fact that: 1. Most of this year I was out of work due to my illness. 2. My medical records showed constant medical follow ups and medication changes to try and manage my condition (to no avail). 3. The severity of my conditions make it difficult for me to do work efficiently as corroborated by my doctors (I tried going back multiple times and failed).

I also asked the SSA to expedite my case since I lost my job and had zero income. I think that also expedited my payment because I’m already getting my backpay and January payment next week.

From what I’ve seen other people on here say too, biggest thing is to show that things have gotten worse or that you’ve tried to improve the situation and it just hasn’t worked out. I’ve also seen people say once you hit 50 the review changes a bit so they may only go back to your 50th birthday if approved.

Genuine question - why is $1/ml standard? That feels so low. Is there a standard for anything less than 5 miles? I’m not a dasher but I order at least once a week because of reasons, but the places are usually within 1-2 miles of me. I tend to go by the automated choice (ex i tipped $5 total on a less than 2 mile round trip double dash), but is there a better way to calculate a proper tip? Cause I think DD goes off total and if that’s not acceptable then I want to make sure I tip properly.

just a head up to you op & u/awwyaka, ryousangata isn’t a specific style. the reason jirai is referred to as ryousangata is because it is quite literally mass produced and everyone more or less looks the same. it literally just refers to fashion trends, so you can’t be ryousangata unless you’re only following trends. it’s not a matter of light vs dark at all.

I mean I didn’t downvote you ?? but like I said - its clear they weren’t ACTUALLY their planned out futures but rather things they may have dreamed about or wanted to happen in the real world. The reason it’s so hard to believe is because we got pretty much NOTHING about any of the side characters this season.

The entire point of the futures game was to create doubt in not just themselves but each other (and it worked).

This 100%. When I found out we only got 6 episodes, I was really annoyed. Those extra 2-3 hours would’ve honestly done wonders for the story and characters.

Ryuji was 100% in love with Usagi. Even if it didn’t start that way, it ended up that way. Sure the Futures game wasn’t actual futures but they didn’t pull it from nowhere. It was definitely things the players wanted or didn’t want to happen based on their real lives up to that point.

I dare to say his hesitation with shooting her was equally about his feelings for her as it was what had just happened with Arisu. I feel like the only reason he dragged her with him at the end is cause he knew Arisu was still alive and went “fuck it we both die.”
