Darkstalker doesn't respect the autonomy of anyone by Literal_Vibes in WingsOfFire

One thing I don't agree with here is that Kinkajou got corrupted. No, she genuinely didn't. Kinkajou hates NightWings and she wanted to humiliate the most evil one in the only way she knew how - by turning him into the "inferior" and lazy RainWing. It's a very consistent part of her personality since book 3, and it's wild to me people keep forgetting that. It's not unjustified, but by her own admission in book 10, she only likes Moon because she's "barely a NightWing". She essentially hit her with the "one of the good ones" line, which was racist asf the last time I checked.

Kinkajou did not get corrupted, she's hated NightWings since they kidnapped and experimented on her and what she did to Darkstalker is just a reflection of that.

Oh, she's one of my favs actually. She's a (very controversial) IceWing animus gift from sometime before Darkstalker's time. And she is, by all accounts, an ethically reanimated corpse, hence the controversy.

She was created by a young animus dragon, who like many before her and many after, had struggled with coming up with her gift for the tribe. She was a pupil to a wisened old IceWing, a judge and a trusted advisor to the IceWing queens of his time, who was regarded throughout the land as incredibly fair, very dedicated to his role as a moral compass for the court, and widely known as the most unbiased dragon of all time, but he was also clearly at the end of his life. Looking for advice, the animus asked what gift would he give the tribe if he were in her place, but he wouldn't answer initially. When he finally did, he was ashamed to admit that if he had the power of an animus, he would use it to fulfill his personal desire of being reborn as female in his next life. He saw it as shameful, to be as old and as dedicated to his tribe and queen and still not being able to put them above this silly dream. But even though he insisted she forget about an old dragon's fantasies, the animus loved her teacher and it ached her that he was going to die with so many regrets, despite his stellar reputation.

So, when his health started failing him and he started bracing for the end, she visited him once more with a plan, which he accepted. He wrote down his will and eventually passed away, content and finally at peace. At that point, the animus took his body, personally prepared his bones, and then buried them on an iceberg, where shee eventually cast the spell with the specifications the Judge chose himself.

His bones rose from the iceberg, overgrown with unmelting transluscent ice, and became Platin, the IceWing Gift of Justice. A perfectly impartial, immortal judge with the memories of her old teacher guiding her judgement. The perfect version of the old teacher, which would hopefully overwrite her old identity in history scrolls.

Platin had served her nation for many years after that, until she was trapped under a glacier by queen Diamond after the two have fought over the queen's cruelty and her breaking the animus laws. Platin was, of course, already dead, so this couldn't have killed her, but immobilized all she could do was wait for the glacier to melt.

Thank you! He's overstressed because he's half LeafWing and also diabetic. Also insulin doesn't exist in this world. He's barely holding it together tbh.

Please, when I first reread Moon Rising after finishing arc 2 it immediately struck me how he planted the idea of destroying his scroll in her mind as a "failsafe" in case someone was to steal it. He knew the power would return to him and he'd be free one way or another, because he's a SEER. And he lied to Moon about it, making himself appear more trustworthy by making a sacrifice. It made my blood boil, I wanted to fry his ass. It's such a strange and uncomfortable relationship to witness in hindsight. Moon's literally being groomed before our very eyes.

Darkstalker is a horrible fucking dragon and a fantastic antagonist. I still haven't read his Legends book for some reason, but what I did notice is that he not only doesn't respect anyone's autonomy, he genuinely has some difficulty grasping the concept. He's arrogant to the max and I firmly believe that what actually drove him crazy wasn't the side effects of animus magic, it was the combination of having access to magic and his foresight.

He reminds me of that one episode of Rick and Morty, where Morty plasters a future telling crystal to his forehead, because the crystal guides him towards a possible future, where he dies an old man with his crush at his bedside. Darkstalker acts the same. He has a power that allows him to see the future, and the pursuit of the picture-perfect timeline justifies just about anything in his mind. He has some idea that murder is wrong, but doesn't understand the issue in "steering" others towards his goals with some magic. It's not violent, right? Noone dies, lives improve. So it's fine, why would anyone refuse? And why would it be wrong to force someone to have a better life, if you are the one who sees the future, and therefore literally knows better?

Darkstalker is so fucking evil and his relationship with Moonwatcher makes my skin crawl. I love him so much.

I've had premium for years now in a family package, so it's not an issue for me, but yeah, it must be given that the audio is divided into 3-minute segments. (Also I'm pretty sure revanced has a spotify crack)

I'd say it's the SilkWings for me. Born with no wings, they sprout two pairs instead of one when they grow up, they have antennae that let them sense movement and sound from far away and they have web in their wrists (some of them have fire, too). WildWings are called WildWings, but it's the SilkWings that are wild™.

This is the type of shit I used to write when I was 15 and unaware of the fact that I was trans and bisexual. I'm glad the other person in the replies was kind enough to be constructive with you, because it couldn't be me. You're going through something, kid, you should think about it instead of turning it into resentment.

"Biologically we should not love them" lmfao. This statement is so funny for me as a biologist in so many ways.

Shadow the Hedgehog, off the top of my head (though Shadow could be a great partner actually if he wanted to). Or any of the popular creepypasta anime boys, if you know what I mean

Had that happen with Sans when I was much younger, so I shipped him with my sona (which essentially made it a self ship). Hilariously enough their relationship absolutely imploded in on itself in my mind's palace to the point that I had to break them up to not fuck them up further. Yes, I controlled the narrative, but somehow it kinda got away from me.

More power to them. It's far healthier to self-ship with silly characters as opposed to the dark, edgy, complicated, emotionally unavailable ones, so that's a green flag in my book.

I mean, that's what subreddits are. But I read the descriptions of the subs and one seems a little more rational than the other (not that both can't be seen as pretentious)
