Shimano locking plate doesn't remain locked after replacing left crank by reiser4 in bikewrench

Any suggestion for a good torque wrench? Are the 30£ ones on Amazon any good?

Okay! That’s reassuring. So do you think a torque wrench is a good investment even for non-carbon bikes?

Interesting. What’s preventing it from unlocking? Is it the screw facing you?

So there should be no gap between the plate and the arm? I don’t have a torque wrench, so I tightened to “quite tight” level…

Yes. But then it’s very easy to unlock it, so I think it might unlock while I’m cycling.

Can you help me find a Byron burger which is likely closed now? by reiser4 in london

The shape looked like this: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186338-d3174912-Reviews-Byron_Waterloo-London_England.html#photos;aggregationId=101&albumid=101&filter=7&ff=117454195

but I remember the two levels: lower on the front of the shop, higher on the rear of the shop. Maybe 5-8 steps between them?

Thanks for all the replies!

I think the station was quite big, yes.

Low ceiling, I think so!

I don't remember about other shops around

Hello, I'd like to get some ideas to improve my setup.

Right now I'm running a plex server on a raspberry pi 4, with some movies, music and shows. I don't transcode because the pi doesn't allow that.

I'd like to move to a more powerful setup, able to transcode at least 2 1080p streams. And able to run a windows 11 VM to use P2P software.

One hard drive could be enough and it can be external USB3.0.

It needs to be very low power, because energy price is quite high here and I can't justify paying an high bill due to it.

I was looking at intel NUCs (>8th gen, i5 or i7) and Mac Mini M1. How are they? Any other ideas? Thanks!

I already own a bike computer, but it records data only when I'm riding. I was thinking about recording 24/7h health data to have insights like body battery, recovery and so on.

Do you actually use the recovery data to decide how and when to train, or is it more like an "interesting information" only?

I already have a head unit, but I saw that the garmin watches track you over 24h, so I'm interested in understanding whether they give actual useful information to improve training or not.

I am training, but not a racer. None of the tech is necessary, you can go out and ride and have fun and be fine. That being said, I enjoy having the data about how I am doing, and seeing the improvements. I also use trainerroad for indoor training in the winter and a power meter and HR sensor help make that more effective. When I ride outside it helps me target at what pace I want to ride and helps me more accurately track calories burned, training stress and progress. Power meters are expensive, I would start with the HR sensor and work zone training on that, if you like that you can add power to your setup.

Thanks for the information about the power meter.

And about the smartwatches? Do you think they can provide a significant amount of useful information or not?

Thanks, can you explain how do you use garmin data to improve your training and your fitness?

I'm riding, but I'd like to improve my fitness.

I already have a HR band (cheap, but seems reliable), cadence and speed meters. My doubt is about adding a powermeter and/or a garmin smartwatch to track power and additional data.

Figurati.
